About this product
The Miele Guard S1 is a bagged cylinder vacuum that packs proper cleaning power into a compact design. It runs on 890 watts and pulls dirt from carpets, rugs, hard floors, and upholstery with ease. The AirClean filter traps 99.99% of dust particles, which is brilliant if you've got allergies or pets around. At 5.6kg, it's light enough to carry between rooms and up stairs without much effort. The 8.5m power cord gives you plenty of reach, and there's a foot-operated rewind so you're not wrestling with it when you're done.
The universal floorhead adjusts to suit any surface, from deep pile to laminate, and includes a crevice nozzle, upholstery nozzle, dusting brush, and combination floor nozzle for furniture, skirting boards, and corners. The 3.5-litre dustbag reduces frequent changes and has a full indicator. The 1.6m hose extends to 1.8m, and chrome telescopic tubes reach wherever needed. With 4 power levels, you can dial down for delicate rugs or up for stubborn dirt. It runs at 75 decibels and was tested by Miele for 20 years of use, ensuring durability.

Good suction and light weight
Amazing vacuum cleaner, great suction and light enough to be carried upstairs. Miele is the only brand I would ever use, my last one lasted 25yrs and sadly gone to vacuum heaven.

Fab little hoover. People that I work for both have a Miele, so I'd had first hand experience what to expect. They are so reliable, do a brilliant job, and the suction is strong (I have to turn it down a notch with our carpets) even when the bag is quite full. You have 3 handy attachments, and as a welcome offer from Miele you get 4 free bags. I'd previously had bagless hoovers, but got fed up of constantly emptying them and cleaning the filter. Gone back to the old fashioned bagged hoover. I'm happy!

I have had my new hoover a week I love it good suction compact and good value. I like the bagged option I have a 3 bed house and I can hoover the whole Of my downstairs with the same plug as the lead is long fb likewise upstairs also quiet easy to move around on wheels

Would really have liked a cordless stick vacuum but the budget didn’t reach to the amount I would have needed to spend to match the suction on this corded Miele. Have had a Miele in the past and it lasted well over 10 years so didn’t hesitate to go for a Miele again. Picked this particular model as it’s a lot lighter than my previous model which I struggled to carry up the stairs. Suction is very good and it has a reasonable length cord. Fairly quiet in operation. The attachments are on the hose which is actually handier than having them stored within in the canister so I am using them more however they can catch on things. If you don't want them on the hose at all then just don’t clip the attachment on. I did initially pay full price then two days later noticed the price had dropped by £40. Contacted Argos straightaway and they agreed to refund the difference. Impressed with my new vacuum and also Argos customer service. Five stars from me!

Very happy
I was so desperate to have a good reliable vacuum cleaner, after all the useless bag less upright vacuum cleaners that need charging all the time. I went back to basics and love having a bag for the dust that you remove and bin. The suction on this, is amazing no more trying to pick up hair. Well done Miele I wished I had it a long time ago.

Best hoover ever.
I’ve had Shark, Dyson and Henry and this blows them all out of the water. Lightweight, compact and suction that’s so powerful it sucks crumbs out of corners. Telescopic adjustable length. When taking apart it’s the click of a button, no pulling and twisting. The lead sucks up with a button and is exceptionally long. Wish I’d found this years ago.
