About this product
The Miele Guard S1 is a bagged cylinder vacuum that packs proper cleaning power into a compact design. It runs on 890 watts and pulls dirt from carpets, rugs, hard floors, and upholstery with ease. The AirClean filter traps 99.99% of dust particles, which is brilliant if you've got allergies or pets around. At 5.6kg, it's light enough to carry between rooms and up stairs without much effort. The 8.5m power cord gives you plenty of reach, and there's a foot-operated rewind so you're not wrestling with it when you're done.
The universal floorhead adjusts to suit any surface, from deep pile to laminate, and includes a crevice nozzle, upholstery nozzle, dusting brush, and combination floor nozzle for furniture, skirting boards, and corners. The 3.5-litre dustbag reduces frequent changes and has a full indicator. The 1.6m hose extends to 1.8m, and chrome telescopic tubes reach wherever needed. With 4 power levels, you can dial down for delicate rugs or up for stubborn dirt. It runs at 75 decibels and was tested by Miele for 20 years of use, ensuring durability.

Quality cylinder hoover
I have bought Miele again for reliability and suction, good quality build and accessories as standard, also bought some bags as you only get one which is the only thing I would say is a bit poor, long cord which is essential.

Extremely powerful and light to manoeuvre
Life changing - such a good vacuum - have to turn the suction down or it sucks my carpet up!

Excellent vacuum cleaner!!!
Absolutely love my Miele vacuum cleaner! The suction is so powerful, I’m surprised it hasn’t swallowed my socks yet! 😂 It’s lightweight, easy to carry around and surprisingly quiet. The filtration is excellent, and the long reach helps me chase dust out of every corner—even where it’s been hiding for years! Cleaning is almost fun now… never thought I’d say that! 😂 Highly recommend!!!!!!

If you’ve been considering getting this … do it.
I cannot sing the praises of this hoover enough. After having experienced both a heavy Henry (great power and suction), and a cordless poor suction Hoover one (albeit lightweight), this is the perfect mix of the two. Incredibly powerful, different suction settings, sturdy yet lightweight. Excellent features such as automatic wire retract button and carpet vs hard floor options. Just brilliant.

Love it! Does the job
I have a cordless Dyson (on its last legs) and a Shark (which is ok for smaller uses) but the run time is only 20 mins. I used to have a corded Dyson but as I am older it was to heavy to carry upstairs or move around. I saw reviews on this Miele and decided to give it a try. I love it. It's easy to use as to portability, the suction is quite powerful (in fact a little too much on some carpets) the long lead is a good feature too. The other feature I like is the accessories being fitted on the top. On the cordless vacuums you have to remember to bring them with you for stairs or crevices. It handle/hose stores away nicely either at the front or on either side.

I wouldn’t be without.
Fantastic as always. I Love my new Miele Hoover as it’s light, super suck-up on floors and carpet and I would choose nothing else. Easy to use…. Dial has 4 speeds which is brilliant for different surfaces.

Great suction and power
I’m thoroughly impressed with this hoover. My carpets have never looked so clean. The variable suction is excellent for different floors like laminate carpet etc. The hoover isn’t that heavy which is a bonus. The black colour looks modern and sleek. I would recommend this hoover. Miele also gave me a voucher for 4 free hoover bags which was very welcome and appreciated. Easily stored in a small flat with limited storage options.
