Quiet and Effective
Replaced a 12 year old Washer Dryer that had bearing noise and was past its best. Very pleased with this, the steam function works great on office shirts etc, and the quick wash/dry function is great for those emergencies where you need something. Generally the washing/drying estimates go down once it has measured the load, and clothes are coming out of a drying cycle drier (on the cupboard dry option) and faster than with my old machine. The controls are all very intuitive, I skimmed the manual but pretty much everything I need to do was obvious from looking at the front panel, apart from how to launch a dry only cycle (but once I'd read the instructions it's now obvious) Even on 1600 spin it's very quiet and smooth..with the cupboard door shut we can hardly hear it...with our old machine we had to close the kitchen door for the spin cycles (even before the bearing fault) (PS review sliders won't let me change Function/Design/Quality ratings for some reason, at the moment I rate this all as 5/5)

A little disappointed considering a premium product
Having had to switch to an integrated washer dryer to work with our new utility, this new AEG machine is significantly noiser in operation than our previous freestanding machine. Whenever it operates it seems to continuously pump water out and is qu8te noisy

This is my 3rd AEG washer dryer. Previous models were excellent from Day 1. This one, at the end of the first wash, the door remained locked until a man came a week later to unfix it. At the end of the final spin the laundry remains stuck around the drum - no gentle tumbling to untangle at this point, so no chance of a satisfactory combined wash/dry programme. Wash and dry programmes give good results, but there are far too many programmes and options - as the engineer said “Who uses more than 2 or 3 programmes.” Just more bits to break down.
