Good quality dash cam for peace of mind.
I haven’t used a dash cam before but liked the idea following a couple incidents on country lanes. Unboxing it appeared at first quite complicated. However, scan the QR code and you get an easy to follow video for setup. I like online information but felt a manual would have been useful to understand fully. I appreciate features update over time so realise why the company have done it this way. The device fixes well to my car and I was able to install and hide the wires away without looking a mess. Driving it is out the way. The recording is clear and even captures the footage and audio inside the car. This would be very useful as evidence should ever it be required. I also like that I can view my car wherever it is when I have parked it somewhere. Very reassuring. My Dad has driven the car and I’ve been able to watch and talk to him (to test the features!). One thing is I receive a lot of notifications via the app when parked that it has detected motion. I imagine I can change the sensitivity but again I need to explore further and written information may have helped me with this. It does keep recordings where it thinks there was an incident (usually me driving in a pot hole or something) but the other day I wanted to look back on something that happened a few days prior and I couldn’t locate. I think you have to be mindful to save it if you want that footage. It will recognise and keep it if it thinks it was an incident and if you had an accident I would be confident it would. There are also some additional features I read about which aren’t currently available. I’m unsure when this will be. I think this would be great when that is released. Overall a good dash camera which comes with connectivity to see your car anytime and also memory to store footage.

Peace of mind out of the box
As a first time user of a dash cam, the Nextbase IQ is proving to be a worthwhile option. The setup was very easy out of the box, just plug into the cars power socket with the supplied leads, and follow the setup instructions in the app. The process took just a few minutes to complete. I have done a few drives using the device and parked in a few car parks to test the notifications which all came through on my phone. Overall it’s an excellent and smart device that’s gives a real sense of peace of mind to protect you and your car.

Style and substance
The Nextbase IQ 1440P dash cam is a classy addition to my vehicle. All necessary connecting wires and clips are included with this dashcam. It allows more than one way to power the dashcam, I used the OBD plug but you can also connect to the fuse box. There are thorough instructions included, and the installation is quite simple with a tool to help hide the wires. Once configured, accessing all of the recorded films with superb audio and visual clarity is simple. Front and cabin views are available with this dashcam for increased safety and security. At night, the audio and video clarity is remarkably clear. It is quite distinctive due to its incredible characteristic. Dashcam IQ allows you to talk through your dash cam using a phone app. If there is any suspicious behaviour near your car, the dashcam will notify you.

Complete Peace of mind
This Nextbase IQ 1440P dash-cam is a stylish accomplishment to my car. This dashcam has all the required connecting wires or clips supplied with it. The installation is very easy and has detailed instructions provided. Once set up this it’s easy to access all the recorded videos with excellent sound and video quality. This dashcam provides front and cabin view for added protection and security. It has very clear audio and video quality during the night time . It has amazing feature which makes it very unique. The dashcam IQ enables to speak through the dash cam from the app on phone. The Dashcam will alert if there is any unusual activity around your vehicle. It can be a very stressful time for a parent when your children learns to drive the car and as a mum it gives me complete peace of mind that I can view the live footage on the app .And if that wasn’t enough incase of any emergency the dashcam can share live footage with a friend or parents , and in unfortunate situations such as a crash it can automatically connect with emergency services and shares your stored medical information and GPS. The dashcam loop records so never run out of memory on SD card . Over all this dash cam has provided me with complete peace of mind and definitely met my expectations. I will highly recommend it.

Delightful Dash Cam
Having never owned a dashcam before the Nextbase IQ is phenomenal. So elegant and so modern, wow! It’s really easy to set up and comes with everything that you need to get you started. The device its self is very durable and well made built to last. The wires are made with strong materials and will last long. The set up was simple and there were videos to help and the app which you need to install was very clear in its direction to set up. The picture quality was amazing and I feel that this will do what it’s meant to whilst I am out in the car! So many features to enhance use and vision, the camera quality is really clear and crisp!

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Nextbase IQ 1440P Smart Dash Cam:
No, so it will work on a very low power mode and use relatively little power when left for that period of time. It has a low voltage mode detector so will turn off power to the IQ if its drops below the minimum threshold.

Nextbase IQ 1440P Smart Dash Cam
There are lights on the iQ mount, body, and Rear Camera that show different colours and behaviours to display its functions. A manual is provided with the unit to show what functions show what lights. This means this will only be lit at night if a function is being performed.
