Does the job well
Bought this in October and pleased with results although it did go wrong and I had to get a replacement from Argos

Faulty, after 2 months stopped working
Bought it end of November and it stopped working just now, I barely used it. So much money wasted, I do not recommend at all.

Big difference to condensation
Have had this a month now and it has made a big difference. Our bedroom is north facing and gets a lot of condensation can't leave a window open for long as we only have large windows so not secure in a bungalow. Windows are very old double glazed ones but think if new triple glazed ones were fitted there would be no condensation on them at all Usually mould forms in the corner but this has been eliminated. Wish we had bought one before. Haven't got a smart meter so don't know how much power it uses but comparing to same time last year does not seem a lot different.

Does what it says and so far so good 👍
The first thing that I did not appreciate was how heavy this was to carry when collecting as I had to walk a fair way through town to get back to my car! But on the positive side since using the humidifier it appears to be a great efficient addition to the house especially when using with the fan and higher settings. It takes a few hours to dry clothes but until I get my next bill I understand this is supposedly quite cost effective. As for the noise once the bedroom door has been closed it is okay but don’t think I would be able to sleep in the same room as it. The dehumidifier chamber is easy to empty and of course the water can be reused for ironing/cleaning windows etc. overall I would be happy to recommend this product.

Hey Jim,
I can advise that this dehumidifier does have a timer.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hello John,
Princess 16L Dehumidifier.
To set the Princess 16L Dehumidifier for the best humidity control in a 2 bed flat, you should aim for a humidity level within the recommended range of 40-60%. This range is considered ideal for maintaining a comfortable indoor environment.
The dehumidifier's built-in humidistat feature allows you to set your desired humidity level, ensuring precise control over your indoor environment. It's important to regularly check the humidity levels and adjust the settings as needed to maintain the desired comfort level.
For a 2 bed flat, the dehumidifier should be set to a level that effectively reduces excess moisture while allowing for comfortable living conditions. The Princess 16L Dehumidifier's capacity of 16 liters per day is suitable for this purpose, as it efficiently removes moisture from the air.
Remember to monitor the humidity levels regularly and adjust the settings as necessary to ensure a comfortable living environment.
Thank you.
Hello there,
The Princess 16L Dehumidifier is suitable for room sizes up to 20m²
Thanks for using Q&A
Hi there,
I can confirm that this dehumidifier is 260 watts. So this would cost 0.26 x your hourly electric rate. So if your electric rate is 30p per kWh then this would cost 0.26 x 0.30 which is 7.8p per hour.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hi Carol,
Princess 16L Dehumidifier
If you are choosing to use the drainage pipe this would need to be connected to the water
outlet inside the drainage tank and the other end would need to connect to a suitable drainage point in your home.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hi there
When the drainage tank is full, the Water Full indicator will illuminate, the operation will stop automatically and the buzzer will beep 15 times to alert the user, that the water needs to be emptied from the drainage tank .
• Lightly press on the sides of the tank with both hands and gently pull out the tank.
• Remove the drainage tank and empty the water.
If the drainage tank is dirty, wash it with cold or lukewarm water.
Hope this helps

Hello Kelbo,
The supplier has advised the following for the Princess 16L Dehumidifier:
“ Yes, this dehumidifier can indeed help with damp and mold issues in the home, such as those you described in the corners of your sitting room. By reducing the level of humidity, it aids in creating an environment less hospitable for mold growth and helps alleviate dampness. ”
Thanks for using Q&A.

Speaking from my own opinion yes, it does.
It's not over bearing but I wouldnt try sleeping in the same room, fan speed 1 isn't too bad though, however, it's a fantastic machine, easy to use and mine has collected around 4ltr of water in just 24 hours, and I've turned it off now and then also.
The noise it the same as a fridge and a fan on at the same time I would say, hope this helps 🙂
