Brilliant asset for the larger families
I bought this back end of the summer. Sturdy, easy to put up and down and has good capacity for washing. There are 6 in our household so a must if you enjoy drying clothes / bedding in the fresh air

Spacious and well designed.
I bought this a couple of weeks ago ago and have had a chance to use it. The washing line spike went in the ground easily enough. The line has plenty of of room, goes up and down easily and has lots of room. I especially love that each short line is individual and not connected to the other lines. Fantastic design Brabantia! Well done.

Argos did what others could not
I am really pleased with my purchase. Several other retailers advertise it but do not deliver to our location. Whereas I was able to reserve, and collect it from Argos. It has loads of line space and with the ratchet mechanism less risk if nipping yourself when putting it up or down.

Buy this line!
I 100% recommend this washing line. More expensive than some, but you get quality and a lot of space to hang your washing! The spike was easy to work with - you just need a piece of wood, a hammer and ideally a spirit level to make sure you are knocking it into the ground 100% level. You get the washing line cover in the package which is great, no need to buy something else. It's well made and most importantly, waterproof. The line itself is easy to put up and take down, not like some where you nearly trap your fingers every time or it's really hard work to click it into place. All in all so far very satisfied customers.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Brabantia 50m Lift-O-Matic Washing Line with Ground Spike: Both dimension on each item is correct. The difference is that the 60m has more rounds of lines than the 50m, increasing the length of line space.

Brabantia 50m Lift-O-Matic Washing Line with Ground Spike
On checking I can see this needs to be fitted into a ground socket for safety so provided you are able to secure this within the flags with cement you will be able to use this. The ground spike is included with the washing line.

The metal ground spike supplied with the Brabantia 50m Lift-O-Matic Washing Line with Ground Spike is designed to be knocked into the ground rather than concreted in using a concrete tube. Plastic ground spikes are normally concreted in. Please find below a link to our range of washing lines, some of which will have a plastic ground spike and concrete tube.
