Everything I need in the one tool
Loght and easy to use.Just what i needed for a very small lawn. It got stored away in the storage box outside ,so takes up no room at all.

Flimsy safety guard
The unit works okay, however one of the three little screws that holds the plastic guard place does not lineup correctly with the hole on the body of the unit, resulting it not being entirely secure. A design flaw I think, as screwing into plastic not strong enough. all a bit flimsy for something that is supposed to be a safety guard

Bought because my old one gave out. Works as it should, helpful that it extends so its not too bad for those of us in the 6ft+ club. Just a shame it doesn't appear to include any way to store the cable.

Good trimmer for the price
Bought this for my garden and so far it’s been working really well. It’s quite light and easy to handle, and it cuts the grass around the edges nicely. I’ve used it a few times now and haven’t had any problems with it. The cable is long enough for my needs and the power seems good for normal garden use. Overall I’m happy with it and think it’s good value for money.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the McGregor 25cm Corded Grass Trimmer - 350W: ''With regards size garden it can be used within any size garden if you can get power to the trimmer. The trimmer has a long 8m power lead and the use of a suitable extension lead will allow a further reach. Rather than the size garden, the important consideration is what is to be cut. 350W is perfect for trimming grass and weeds, if the garden includes nettles / brambles etc, it is not suitable for this. The spool can be rewound with 1.6mm nylon line or replacement spools are available.''

Instructions clearly say that you can buy brand new spools or refill the spool that is there. Itll need to be wound with 2 x 4.3m of 1.6mm strimmer line per spindle hope that helps

Further to my original query I managed to buy spare spools from Mow Spares Ltd 01328 442442.
Great service, next day delivery.
Instructions clearly say that you can buy brand new spools or refill the spool that is there. Itll need to be wound with 2 x 4.3m of 1.6mm strimmer line per spindle hope that helps
