McGregor 25cm corded strimmer.
It turned out to be a poor choice. It's heavy and awkward to use and the twin cord head is difficult to refill with cutting cord. Also, the cord breaks often.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the McGregor 25cm Corded Grass Trimmer - 350W: ''With regards size garden it can be used within any size garden if you can get power to the trimmer. The trimmer has a long 8m power lead and the use of a suitable extension lead will allow a further reach. Rather than the size garden, the important consideration is what is to be cut. 350W is perfect for trimming grass and weeds, if the garden includes nettles / brambles etc, it is not suitable for this. The spool can be rewound with 1.6mm nylon line or replacement spools are available.''

Instructions clearly say that you can buy brand new spools or refill the spool that is there. Itll need to be wound with 2 x 4.3m of 1.6mm strimmer line per spindle hope that helps

Further to my original query I managed to buy spare spools from Mow Spares Ltd 01328 442442.
