Great picture quality
Very impressed with the quality of the picture and the battery performance. Not once has the charge dropped below 95%. The solar panel more than able to keep up with camera use. I am having issues with the tamper alarm. It went off when installing it even though I had not turned it on and it was difficult to unset it. The setting and unsetting of the alarm is tempermental. Tapo are very good at picking up yhe issue and getting me to run diagnostic download. Had it not been for the alarm issue would get 5*

Easy set up
Easy set up and very flexible positioning as it has solar panel to power it up . Charge threw cable before installation and solar panel keeps it charged even in dull conditions I’ve had this 5 month now and only plugged it into wall once . Gives great pictures and video on the app so can check any notification straight away this is my third Tapo camera would recommend them this one is upgrade to older one as has 4K pictures better detail day or night it has sound alarm and lights so great camera for the money

Bought about 3 weeks ago. Amazing camera for the money. 10 mins to install and easy to set up afterwards. Had to tweak the settings over maybe a week or so. Quality is outstanding. I save to a 512gb memory card and it all works perfectly

Hi,
Regarding the Anti-Theft Alarm to enhance security. You can enable or disable it under Tapo app > Camera Device Settings > Alarm page. When Anti-Theft Alarm is enabled, an alarm will be triggered once your camera is moved significantly.
When Anti-theft Alarm is triggered:
1. The camera emits the alarm sound on and off in a repeating cycle for 15 minutes to deter theft.
2. App notifications are sent during the event (ensure notifications are enabled).
3. Recording continues until the alarm ends or the battery runs out.
4. The camera cannot be powered off until the battery dies.
5. The camera will not respond to reset to prevent tampering or unbinding.
6. The alarm stops automatically if the camera remains still for 15 minutes.
To stop the Anti-theft alarm immediately, here are two methods:
1. Via Tapo App: Open Tapo app > tap your camera model card > tap the gear icon in the top right corner > Alarm > toggle off Anti-Theft Alarm.
2. Via Power Button: Press the power button 10 times within 30 seconds to deactivate the Anti-theft Alarm manually.
The camera is designed to be securely mounted to the wall using a specialized camera bracket, which helps reduce the likelihood of theft compared to a purely magnetic attachment.
Regarding the solar panel, it comes with a 0.2m power cable along with a 3.8m extension cable for flexible placement.

Tapo C460 does not support sim card. Currently, we have the Tapo 501GW and TC40GW support insert a SIM card, allowing it to connect through 4G LTE networks, and making it ideal for locations where a constant Wi-Fi connection is unavailable.

Yes, the Tapo C460 KIT does support AOV‑style continuous snapshotting via its 24/7 Capture mode. You can tailor intervals from 1 up to 60 seconds, switching automatically to full video on motion.
Solar power is highly recommended for long-term use to offset the increased battery drainage from continuous capture.

"The TP-Link Tapo C460 KIT comes bundled with the Tapo A201 solar panel. This panel provides up to 2.5W of charging power, requiring approximately 45 minutes of direct sunlight per day to maintain the camera's operation.
TP-Link also offers the Tapo A200 solar panel, which delivers up to 4.5W of charging power. This higher output means it needs only about 30 minutes of standard sunlight daily to keep compatible Tapo battery cameras operational.
However, it's important to note that the Tapo A200 is not compatible with the Tapo C460 camera. According to TP-Link, the A201 is the recommended solar panel for the C460, ensuring optimal performance and compatibility.
In summary, the Tapo C460 KIT includes the A201 solar panel, which is specifically designed to work with this camera model. While the A200 offers faster charging, it is not compatible with the C460."
