This LG W4X1095NWK washer dryer handles the full laundry cycle in one appliance, washing up to 9kg of cottons, synthetics, delicates and wool, then drying 5kg in the same drum. 6Motion Direct Drive technology moves the drum in multiple directions for thorough cleaning while caring for fabrics. With 1400rpm spin speed and an A-rated washing cycle, this white freestanding model uses 50 litres of water per wash and offers quick 30-minute cycles and full wash-and-dry programmes completing in 8.2 hours for fully dried laundry without transferring loads.
Wi-Fi connectivity via LG ThinQ lets you control and monitor cycles remotely, while the LED display and dial simplify programme selection. Steam technology reduces allergens, and the condenser drying system with 2 heat settings and sensor dry controls dryness precisely. Worse than my old 15 Yr old LG model
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this machine with the confidence of having had a previous LG for 15 years. This machine supposedly can spin at 1400 rpm. IT DOESN'T. At best, I would estimate it spins at 1000 rpm max. I have had retailer engineers and LG engineers looking at it, the latter confirming that the sensors are too sensitive and think I'm only washing a small load. I wouldn't call two king size sheets plus pillow cases a small load. Very disappointed.

Quiet - brilliant, some areas to improve
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Quiet - brilliant, some areas to improve. Firstly, I bought this washing machine as it needed to fit within a certain depth space and it does that brilliantly. I would’ve preferred a white door but that is an aesthetic choice and it appears that my preference is currently not in fashion as most units seem to come with a black door. I bought this particular model because it has the direct drive motor so will hopefully be quieter and also more reliable and so far it is very quiet compared to I think most washing machines, however particularly compared to our previous washing machine which bearing had failed so sounded like a jet taking off every time. I find its IQ sense helpful in weighing the load and adjusting the time accordingly and you are able to use all the different settings no matter the load even though some of them it says only up to 2 kilograms However, a bigger downside of the model is that the display does not tell you how long a wash will take on a number of the settings before you press start which can be very frustrating trying to choose the correct setting. it would in my view be preferable if there was an option, perhaps through the downloaded cycle to measure the weight in order to have this information available beforehand The downloaded cycle is also another area for improvement as it allows you to have one downloaded cycle in the downloaded cycle slot and sells this as a custom slot. However, it is not a custom slot as you can only use a certain preset settings through the LG app. Whilst this is easy to use and helpful it does mean that if you want to have a particular setting, you can’t always achieve this. For example, our previous washing machine had a setting that would do an hour wash and particular temperature and this was perfect for a lot of our loads that needed doing relatively quickly but also needed a decent wash. There is no available option to even reach close to this and know that you’ve reached it ahead of pressing the play button and hoping that you’ve selected the right setting. That said, I’m very happy with it

Easy to use.

I didn't think I'd have any use for it's app or Wi-fi connectivity, but have actually found it will be useful being able to program and start the machine while away from home so it's already halfway though the wash when I get home - good for time saving!

I don’t know how I’ve lived without it!
We don’t have space for a seperate washer and dryer, for years we had just used maidens in the house however they were such a pain especially for drying towels and bedding etc. we decided to buy this and I’m so glad we did. So worth the money and spending a little bit extra so we have peace of mind that it’s a good brand. A quick wash takes 30 mins. The spin is up to 1.4k on a quick wash, but there’s also settings for different fabrics, tub clean etc. To spin the washing after it’s been cleaned you will need the LG app. The app is so easy to use and means you’ll sends a notification on your phone once the cycle is completed. It takes maybe an hour and half to dry a small load. We usually just dry towels or our bedding but it’s handy for other random bits too. I don’t find it makes much noise at all. To empty the water there is a little pipe with the filter, saves water going all over the floor.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the LG W4X1095NWK 9/5KG 1400 Spin Washer Dryer - White: We would recommend there being 10cm from the back of the unit and 5cm to the side of the unit for ventilation.
