not for me
Possibly the worst thing i have ever bought i chose this item because I had bought a nextbase512 GW some time ago ,it was a pain trying to set it up i eventually succeded after dis-connecting my apple phone to allow the pairing every thing seemed ok, after a drive the following day i thought i will review the pics but no it had somehow not recorded anything and suggested to re-connect same thing as well has having no car play for my iPhone . Just dis connected it and realised what a pain it was.

Wi-Fi Nightmare
I bought this two weeks ago but cannot get it to connect to my phone. I am on the verge of returning it - it’s so annoying. I don’t feel I can give it any more than 1 star because I don’t know if it’s recording or not. On top of that, I would warn anyone buying this that an alert keeps going if you DONT use a Nextbase SD card - so that cost another £40 on top of the camera cost. Not such a bargain really

Easy to fit & Use
I bought this as an additional dash cam to be used in my classic cars. It was easy to fit and once I had sorted out the App on my phone it was easy to set up. Picture Quality: I have not checked since installation, so not an accurate review. Features: Difficult to comment it does what I need it too.

There is no password option for the Piqo to connect to Wi-Fi.

I asked this question.....I inserted a non-Nextbase brand SD card, and a loud warning kept sounding telling me to insert a Nextbase branded SD card. That cost me another 40 pounds. So annoying

I have consulted the user manual for the Nextbase Piqo Front Facing 1080p HD Dash Cam and can see no reference to using a NextBase SD card. It does stipulate that a microSDXC is required, which needs to be formatted prior to use. If you are still experiencing issues, please reach out to the manufacturer.

It will require power, as all Dash Cams do.
This is either via the supplied 12/24V Power Adapater. Or, it can be powered using the Piqo Pro Dash Cam Cable.

No, the Piqo will work with the Nextbase Piqo Pro Dash Cam Cable.
It is not compatible with the Nextbase Series 2 Hardwire Kit used for the 522GW model.

This is done via the Nextbase app, the requirements for which are an operating system of iOS 15 and newer, or Android 8 and newer.

“ Apologies, the Piqo 1K does not have its own Rear Camera option to plug into. You can use a separate Nextbase Dash Cam as a rear camera if needed though with its own power supply. ”
