About this product
Reaching tall hedges just got easier with the McGregor 51cm Corded Pole Hedge Trimmer. It's a 500W electric tool that shapes overgrown hedges with clean precision. The telescopic pole extends from 1.9m to 2.5m for added reach. You'll tackle higher sections without dragging out ladders. Dual action blades work fast to deliver neat cuts through branches. Customers Say
Effective hedge trimmer with long reach and sharp blades. Heavy to use, especially at full extension, causing fatigue. Good value for occasional use but not ideal for extended or frequent use.

Does the job for a very good price!
I've moved to a house with very high hedges so this is a fantastic product for me. Only downside is it is quite heavy and the strap doesn't help too much. Still... Highly recommended!

Decent
It is a good product overall and works well. For the price it is good and it gets through most branches of my hedge. Any tricky ones just need going over a few times normally. The telescopic reaches quite far and it’s good you can pivot the blade, it does get quite heavy at its maximum height but it’s not too bad especially with the shoulder strap

Feels cheep
Poor quality fixings, will leave it together has think it will break if taken apart too many times. Feels cheap. Only have to cut hedge a few times a year so will be ok for that. Would not recommend if using regular.

Hedgecotta extendable.
It is a good tool. Does what it's supposed to do? But it is a little bit on the heavy side.

Good value long-reach trimmer.
I used the McGregor trimmer for the first time yesterday. I needed it to reach the lower part of a mature tree. Having read in reviews that it is fairly heavy to use in the upright position, I can confirm this. However, it is manageable. The on/off switch is a two-handed process: I rested the blades across a holly bush in order to start it! Once going, it is easy enough to use and shut down when the trigger was released. The reach was as expected and it cut through many of the smaller branches/out-growths. It was reasonably easy to direct on to target. Seems to be good value for money. Since the cable is well away from the blades, there is mminimal risk of cutting it.
