About this product
The DDJ-GRV6 is a next-generation 4-channel DJ controller that's compatible with both rekordbox and Serato DJ Pro. It includes the new Groove Circuit feature (available in rekordbox) which DJs can use to easily remix drum parts and perform remixes on the fly. When used with Serato DJ Pro, the DDJ- GRV6 can manipulate and separate Stems using the Stems FX feature.
You can choose to use the DDJ-GRV6 with not only rekordbox for Mac/Windows but also rekordbox for iOS/Android. With the option of playing via a mobile device, you have freedom to DJ in your preferred style and in a variety of different settings.
While it includes many advanced features, the matte black finish and ergonomic design mean you can easily find your way around the DDJ-GRV6. Despite the variety of functions, the minimalistic display and indicators offer intuitive access to the functions you need.
Built-in sound card (audio interface) Thanks to a built-in sound card, the DJ controller connects straight to your speakers or amplifier with a single TRS/RCA cable.
The DDJ-GRV6 is compatible with Serato DJ Pro, which includes a Stems FX feature. Express yourself musically by applying effects such as Roll, Trans, Echo Out, and Delay to the separate Stems of a track – drums, bass, vocal, or melody.

I brought this the other week and let me tell you this is definitely an upgrade from my old ones best decks I’ve had so far if your looking to upgrade go for these

Independent speakers required
I had an issue where the controller couldn't be connected directly to speakers if the speakers were also connected to the PC - Unfortunately this created an audio grounding issue resulting in a very loud audible whine. I have not encountered this issue before with other controllers including my NI Traktor s3. For me that was an issue as I didn't have easy access to the speakers to keep switching between cables. Only alternative was to have separate speakers entirely. This might be fine for your setup but for me with limited space, it wasn't. So, I have now found an alternative with better sound routing which doesn't cause the whine. It's odd that this is the case, as I would say this is definitely a hobbiest controller so my set up is likely a common one. It's a shame as it was a nice controller with some unique features.

Excellent intermediate mixing controller
I've been using this controller for several months now after upgrading from a beginner controller. I am very happy with it. Good build quality with some great features. Serato Pro can be used with no additional cost and it is a huge step up from the free version I was using, There are so many features and I'm still learning. Possibly a little expensive but the Serato Pro or Rekord Box licence that it comes with is great.

Amazing bit of kit
Amazing controller my only issue is your supposed to get a complimentary Alphatheta controller case with it but it’s out of stock everywhere and not available for delivery which is very annoying tbh….

Sick controller
Has all the features you need to make creative mixes. Good practice if trying to get onto the DDJ3000 most clubs have. It does need a power cable to work with my Mac book pro 2015 and virtual dj but just plug and play. No softwares needed

Setup with Rekordbox was effortless, and the jog wheels are responsive and precise, perfect for mixing across different genres. The build is sturdy without feeling heavy, and the layout is intuitive and similar to CDJ's which will help me to be gig-ready for a venue that has their own gear. The "Groove6" has enough performance pads and FX controls to keep sets creative without complicating the flow and I love the Groove and STEMS although they seem to work betteer with Serato. After contacting our suppliers they have advised for the AlphaTheta DDJ-GRV6 DJ Controller.
The DDJ-GRV6 DJ controller cannot directly connect to turntables without additional equipment. It lacks dedicated phono inputs for turntables. To use turntables with the DDJ-GRV6, you'd need to use a mixer with phono inputs or a separate phono preamp and a way to route the turntable output to a line input on the controller.
An alternative would be to use a DVS setup, you can use timecode vinyl on your turntables to control software like rekordbox or Serato DJ Pro, allowing you to mix and scratch with digital files. However, this requires a separate audio interface and the appropriate software.

From the information we have available, I can advise you can connect the AlphaTheta DDJ-GRV6 DJ Controller to your hi-fi stereo using the AUX port. The DDJ-GRV6 has RCA outputs, which are compatible with the AUX input on your hi-fi stereo. This setup will allow you to use your existing stereo system instead of purchasing monitor speakers.
