Bought this to take with me during an extended hospital stay. Fantastic little shaver. Remarkably good performance for the price. Close, precise cut and plenty of power. On that point, I use Duracell Optimax batteries (requires ×2 AA). They seem to last forever without losing power. This item is sold as a travel shaver, but would serve me as my everyday. Recommended.

I bought this for my husband who is in hospital and it is brilliant. Battery operated so you don't have to worry about trying to charge it up. He's really pleased with it. He probably wouldn't use it as a normal everyday shaver but would definitely take it on holiday in the future.

Hello there,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Philips PQ206/18 Dry Electric Shaver 443/6759: This device can only be used Cordless with 2AA batteries. On the Service manual it states 2 x AA LR6 battery. LR6 batteries come in both rechargeable and none rechargeable variants. So yes rechargeable batteries can be used.

The manual does advise to remove the heads and use the included brush to clean them. It is not advised to run them under water.
