Great buy
As I already have Tapo products I decided I may as well stick with them. This hub enables me to had loads of other devices to enhance home security and convenience.

H100 Smart Hub
Nice piece of kit allowing to connect various devices to it. For example door bell button, magnetic door and window burglar sensors and water detection sensor. Small and mains powered, really easy to set up and versatile. If you need more functions the H200 would be better suited. Chime can be adjusted for volume and sound.

Inexpensive route into smart home technology
I bought this along with a door sensor so that I could see if family members returned home whole I'm out. It has no stand alone functionality but seems to be an inexpensive route into smart home technology. Paired with the free app (which has to be downloaded) and suitable Tapo sensors it seems pretty good.

Jingle bell's was the default setting.
Chime defaulted to 'jingle bell's' when setup was complete-very festive and easy to change when the xmas season is over. Simple to set up, remember to download the Tapo first. Worth noting that the Chime will communicate with the app when first setting up via Bluetooth. Once set up is complete the Chime will use your home WiFi, so the Chime can be placed anywhere where it can receive the WiFi signal.

The H100 is not compatible with doorbells. Only the H200 and H500 Tapo hubs are compatible with both doorbells and cameras.

The TP-Link Tapo H100 Smart Hub can connect to up to 64 devices including Tapo switches, sensors, or buttons to create your home's smart ecosystem. It is only Tapo C420, Tapo C400, Tapo D230 that is not compatible.

Tapo Sub-G devices usually work well within 45 feet of the Tapo hub, though actual range may be affected by:
1. Obstructions: Walls, floors, and furniture can weaken the signal.
2. Interference: Metal devices and electrical appliances like security doors, window screens, microwaves, and induction cookers can cause disruption.
Here are some tips to improve reliable connectivity between hub and Sub-G devices:
1. Ensure Sub-G device is receiving good signal strength (at least two signal bars). In the Tapo APP, go to Hub Settings > Network Connection, click "Test Wi-Fi Signal" to assess the signal strength between the Hub and its sub-devices.
2. Keep the Sub-G device at least 3 meters away from interference sources like microwaves, TVs and audio systems.
3. Consider adding more hubs to improve coverage for Sub-G devices throughout your home.
