Bought this to compliement recording to microSD from my connected video doorbells and cameras giving me a completely subscription free security system. Excellent connection to all devices around the flat through low power radio giving up to 2 years battery life from some devices. This hub plugs into a power feed and an ethernet connection and connects seamlessly to my other devices - it just found everthing in the app

Support team helpful
I had great difficulty setting up the hub. It wouldn’t pair with my WiFi and the App kept losing connection with the hub. The support team were very responsive but it took a few email conversations before they suggested I temporarily turn off my mobile data. Once I did so it worked immediately. The siren noise emitted from the hub is very loud and alarming when the door sensor is triggered!

Hi,
There is no ringer on the Tapo Sensor, so it cannot ring. If you want audible notifications, set up Smart Actions to use the sensor as a trigger and then ring using the hub. You can set the sound and ring duration of the hub.

Yes. Alexa and Google Assistant integrations are optional and do not need to be enabled in order to use the Tapo H100.
If you do not wish to use these services, simply do not link the device to the corresponding third-party platform. The Tapo H100 can still be managed through the Tapo app.

Hi,
The H100 is not compatible with doorbells. Only the H200 and H500 Tapo hubs are compatible with both doorbells and cameras.
