Bought to replace a LED shaving light in bathroom, fitting purchasd from a reputable company failing after 1month then replacement exchange failed after two months both units switch failed this incured time and travell to get a refund so decided to go simple this light looks good does not have shaving point but switch feels better and unlike led if switch fails you can remove a bulb not have a light you can't swith off
Not bad lights that have a modern look but need a lot of tweaking to fit well, sit vertical and assemble.
However, the (sale) price and end result were worth it.
I like the idea that these use (E14) SES candle bulbs instead of the awful small (G9) LED lamp alternatives that fail often and frequently fit badly.
I would only recommend these lamps to be fitted by someone competent and prepared to tweak them to fit. And, with the patience to spend on them.
Installed by electrician who managed to damage one of the cords. I bought two lamps to position either side of a mirror in the shower room. I would say that the lamps are charming, but not robust which is why I gave 3 stars. Luckily the electrician managed to bypass the broken cord, but now only one lamp can be switched on/ off within shower room. Not so much of a problem as there is a switch outside the bathroom.
Good lights but not perfect, the alignment of the screw mounting holes and upright light socket were not square, seems like factory 2nds and the screws that hold cover to the mounting plate was tricky to put in. The electrical connection block cover was almost impossible to open.

Hello Shelley,
I can advise the following for the Argos Home Opal Glass Bathroom Wall Light - Polished Chrome:
All light fittings must be fitted in accordance with wiring regulations from the Institute of Electrical Engineers (IEE) and current building regulations. We recommend you employ a qualified electrician and that manufacturer's fitting instructions are followed.
