Made from solid mango wood with a smooth ivory finish, it's a sturdy, natural foundation that brings warmth and character to living rooms, bedrooms or reading corners. The distinctive circular base and spherical bobbin design add a quirky, individual touch that stands out without overwhelming your space, and the natural wood means each piece has its own unique grain and slight variations that make it one of a kind.
The base works with shades between 45 and 49cm, so you can match your style and choose the right level of warm or bright light for your needs. It uses a single ES bulb up to 9 watts, and the foot switch makes it easy to turn on and off without bending down to the plug. The generous 3.5m cable gives you plenty of options for placement, even in larger rooms. Some assembly is required, and it's straightforward with everything you need included. Faulty.
So disappointed , the bottom stabilising bolt/lug attachment does not catch, so the whole stand wobbles and sways, it sits at an angle of about 15 degrees off vertical. It looks lovely but is unusable.

Strong -easy to consruct
I bought this a month ago strong wood easy to assemble (3 sections) all good except a littie stain on the base of the stand but not enough to be bothered to send back just turned to corner when placing in the room. Works well with my other purchase of the shade - a william morris design. Also bought from Habitat via Argos.

Awful - Avoid - Impossible to put together
Bought the cream lamp last week and threads didn’t align on middle bit. Took it back & bought another (as love the lamp style). Same issue only worse, the middle bolt wouldn’t even fit into the inner wooden part. Habitat email address & help number provided with instructions are out of date. Got the up to date number & rang to see if I was doing something wrong. Said someone would ring to arrange to collect from me - they didn’t! No third time for me. My advice is avoid unless you want the hassle & headache of carrying heavy boxes back & forth.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Habitat Bobbin Mango Wood Floor Lamp Base: It does not come assembled, you will need to attach the shade to the base, which comes boxed.
