Great hand mixer
Two cakes in and no issues. Having read a number of reviews on a range of hand mixers, they all say to use the mixers on short bursts. This is ideal for that sort of mixing: a couple of minutes on the sugar and butter, prepare other ingredients, a couple of minutes to whisk the eggs, soft the flour, then blend it in. Of you want to do prolonged mixing or kneeding, get a bench mixer!

For the beaters, the maximum operation time is 6 minutes, followed by a 15-minute rest period. Overheating can occur if these guidelines aren't followed, especially with thicker mixtures like cupcake frosting.

This gives an effective length of about 14.5cm.
Whether this is suitable will depend on the specific recipe you are using and the size of your mixing bowl. As a rule these should be suitable for making cake batter.
