Pure radio alarm clock

Very pleased with this clock radio. The sunrise feature is great and its useful to be able to set sever alarm programmes fir different days. The sleep feature us nice when you want the radio to turn off automatically. The only thing I would prefer is to have a slightly lower minimum volume for the radio but this isn't a major issue.

Difficult to configure

It's a radio but I needed to consult online help pages to get any sounds out of it. Not exactly plug'nplay. Even after consulting the online help I'm still struggling to confirm that I've set an alarm - the product doesn't seem to behave in the way described. It doesn't have a tone control and the sound is too bass-heavy. I like the light feature and the Sounds List though.

Very smart & capable device.

This is a great little purchase. The DAB radio is very clear and the sounds are a great addition. They are excellent for that low background 'something' if you want to get to sleep or wake troubled. Lots of them, so one will be your favourite. I like the thunder storm! The controls are great and the way the display can be set to dim when at night is a bonus. I also like the volume settings that are very adjustable in as much you'll find the level you like. Alarm is brilliant. I only need two days a week and you can do this by specifying the day, and if when you don't need them at all a lovely physical button to turn them on and off!! All in all a great purchase!

Perfect DAB clock radio.

This Pure machine is trying very hard to be the perfect DAB clock radio, which it very nearly is. Settings take a little patience to get to grips with, but they are pretty intuitive. Money well spent.

Dependable Clock Radio

I bought this a few weeks ago and it’s worth the money. It’s intuitive, genuinely useful functions. Pretty good sound from the speaker function and the relaxing sounds feature has helped my sleep! Nice display, compact, functional and easy to use. Would recommend.

Loved the design but not the sound quality.

I'd had my last Pure Siesta alarm clock radio for many years so when the power button finally started playing up I thought it was time to replace. One of the appeals of staying with the same brand is that the functions operate in a similar way so my first choice was the new Pure Moment. First impressions were excellent, the design is quite striking and the general build quality seemed excellent. I found the setup quite straightforward and had no problem getting it tuned in. It was here though that the positives end because sadly I didn't find the audio quality matched everything else. To my ears I found the sound a little muffled and frustratingly I couldn't find any way to alter the eq to brighten the tone meaning speech lacked clarity. Equally frustrating I found that the lowest click stop for the volume level was set slightly too high for night use. I really wanted to like this device but in the end I had to return it and swap to a slightly pricier rival which so far has been a pleasure to use.

Pure Moment Digital DAB+/FM Radio

Arrived well packaged. Out of the box the radio looked good, not too bulky and looked right at home on the bedside table without taking up too much space. There is choice of adapter for UK or EU sockets which was easy to attach. Took me a while to follow the picture instructions but got there eventually. I manually set the radio stations as I found this easier for me and I just saved the stations I like to listen too, it took no time - you just need the frequency for the stations you like to listen to - there is an option to automatically tune the stations if you’d rather do that. The time set automatically. There is a light on the radio which is useful in the early hours if you need to get up as it is an amber/yellow colour which is good for when it’s dark as it is easier on the eyes than a bright or harsh light. I particularly like the sound settings (20+sounds) as I have tinnitus and this allows me to fall asleep as it masks the ringing or buzzing sound, most helpful. There is a timer function to turn off the chosen sound after a set amount of time, again, this is most helpful, as it means the radio is not on all night. Pairing with my phone was easy and allows me to listen to my playlists or audio books easily. Sound quality is very good for such a compact radio, totally clear as you would hope it to be. All in all an impressive piece of kit that I look forward to helping me drift off to sleep of a night and wake me at the start of my day for many years to come.

Modern functional Radio / Alarm

The Pure moment alarm clock / radio arrived very well packaged offering plenty of protection for the unit and accessories.( Shown in various photographs) When I took it from the box it was good to see it had a good length of cable going to the plug socket and could be plugged in British and European style plug sockets ( nice touch ) I literally plugged it on and sat back while the unit sorted it's date, time and radio channels without me having to do a thing. I opened up the "large and very visible" how to sheet and providing you follow this and remain calm ( if things don't happen as you expect) it won't be long before you have mastered its many functions. I particularly like the auto brightness display which is brilliant in dark bedroom settings, this is one clock that won't keep you awake with the display but can be read without straining. DAB radio is nice to have and once you have managed the radio channel storage it's plain sailing. Another feature I like is the ability to play my music through it using the Bluetooth technology incorporated into it. I know the younger generation will all be using their phones for what this delivers but although I love my phone and all it can do I definitely have a place and use for this Pure Moment alarm / radio in my life and would highly recommend it.
