About this product
The Argos Home Josie Single Bunk Bed Frame gives you a practical sleeping solution when two kids share a room or friends stay over. It's a white painted solid wood design that stands up to daily use and bedtime routines. The simple styling works with most bedroom furniture and decor. It sleeps two in a single-bed footprint, so you're not sacrificing floor space for play or storage. Wooden slats support the mattresses without needing a separate base. The fixed ladder stays secure on the right side for safe climbing up and down.
The frame has a safety rail on the top bunk to prevent rolling out during sleep. It must be secured to the wall with brackets for stability, particularly in homes with children. Each bunk supports up to 100kg, so it's suitable for kids aged six and over, as well as adults. Use mattresses no deeper than 16cm on the top bunk to keep the safety rail effective. Self-assembly required, two people recommended for easier handling of the frame pieces.

Great bunkbeds
Bought the bunk beds as we have a small bedroom. They are an ideal size and not over bearing. Still able to fit other furniture in the room. Assembly took some time as no items were labelled therefore had to check measurements of each piece to identify it. Once assembled very happy with them. Sturdy bed. Plenty of headroom between the bunks and also the ceiling. Happy with the safety aspect and also the stability of the beds. Very pleased with my purchase and value for money. The supplier has advised for the Home Josie Single Bunk Bed Frame - Pine: Yes, however, the product must first be sanded to remove the existing paint. After that, any paint suitable for solid pine wood can be applied.

I have checked the parts and details that are in the manual and can see that due to the 2 side rails having holes in for the ladders at the right hand side the ladders will be in a fixed position as per the item description.

Yes, you can use a mattress measuring 90x190x24 cm on the bottom bunk. The length and width are a perfect fit for the frame. However, the depth exceeds the recommended maximum of 16 cm, which is a safety requirement for the top bunk only.
Using a deeper mattress on the bottom bunk is generally fine, though it may reduce headroom between the bunks.
