Very useful and flexible power strip
They are easy to add to the app and appear as seperate plugs, these can be grouped. The power monitoring is a useful option, allowing power usage to be viewed over time. The plugs can be controlled maually or from the app.

Equivalent of four smart plugs in one. Brilliant
I have been using smart plugs gor a while and find them really good. However this is so much better. Each socket is just a smart plug, allowing you to individually swich them on/off, set timers etc, while only using one mains socket. Ideal for xmas time when you have all these extra lights and trees etc. Very easy to set up and connect to wifi.

Bought two of these to control all of my living room electrical equipment. Setup is very straight forward. Everything can be controlled via the Tapo phone app or optionally via Apple, Google, Amazon voice. You can switch on and off individual plugs within a strip or all at the same time. I particularly like the ability to group plugs from different strips. My entertainment group switches on tv, sky and soundbar in the front of the room strip at the same time as the subwoofer in the back of the room strip. Anyone with a bad back? Get one if these. No more bending down to reach plugs.

A simple to use and set up power bar

Make life easier
I bought this to set timers for hall and out side light display and it works wonderfully well . So easy to set up , I have other smart plug of this make and I must say how easy it makes life , especially at Christmas when we use alot of lights

No, you cannot use the Tapo P304M smart plug power strip outside, even if plugged into an outdoor socket. It is not designed to withstand outdoor elements like rain or dust and lacks an IP (Ingress Protection) rating for outdoor use. Using it outdoors could cause damage to the device and create a safety hazard.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Tapo P304M Smart Plug Power Strip- Energy Usage Monitoring: The Tapo P304M is an indoor smart power strip with four sockets and a maximum load capacity of 3250W (13A). Fairy lights typically have a very low power consumption, so plugging three sets into the P304M should be well within its capacity, provided the total combined load does not exceed 3250W. Please ensure that your extension lead and all connected devices are in good condition and that you do not exceed the rated capacity of either the extension lead or the Tapo P304M. This setup should work well for controlling your Christmas and window fairy lights.

P304M and KP303 can only connect to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and do not support 5GHz.

Yes, of course you can. Care should always be taken with extension sockets, especially if they are connected to high-power appliances eg. kettles, toasters, vacuum cleaners, but this is no different with this Tapo extension lead.

For safety reasons, it is not suggested to connect a power strip to a smart plug. It is not recommended to connect the smart plug to a power strip as well.

The meanings of the LEDs cannot be changed. To turn off the device's LED light, you can go to the Tapo app, press the plug icon, then tap Settings in the top right corner of the screen. Find the LED Status and turn it off.
