Great massage
I bought this as an aid to get rid of a little excess weight I put on over Christmas. I really feel it is achieving this, and I try to increase the number of revolutions I do each day. I wish I’d bought one before now.

Hi Nat
I have looked into this for you and you are unable to add more weight onto this item.
I hope this helps :)
Thanks for using Q&A
No there’s no where to add weight
The pink one us heavier than blue I’m pretty sure, and it’s definitely heavy enough. But you could buy 2 same and double weight easily that way.
I don't think so. I returned it as it was far too big and heavy for me. I too am 5' 1", but haven't used a hula hoop for over 50 years so am completely out of practice!
Hi,
As you build your experience up and want higher intensity in your workouts, you can also conveniently add extra weight if you need to by filling the tubes with rice or sand.
I hope this helps
Thanks for using Q&A
Hi Matt,
This is not suitable for this purpose.
Thanks for using Q&A.
No
No the pieces are bent correctly to make one size
Hi starlight90,
Thanks for your query about the Opti Weighted Hula Hoop - 1.8kg.
This weighs 1.8kg. As to whether that is too heavy, this is very much a personal and subjective matter and subject to the person's pre-existing strength and fitness prior to first use so I cannot advise if it is.
Honestly I started the first day as a beginner and felt it was heavy (just quite unusual feeling) and got a bruise or two but after a couple of days it’s completely fine and doesn’t hurt at all
Absolutely! It is extremely big and heavy. I hurt my ankle when it kept falling down onto it. I returned mine and bought a cheap small lightweight plastic children's hula hoop to practise with first and I haven't mastered that yet!
Hi,
This 1.8kg weighted hoola hoop workout is more effective than crunches, resulting in amazing abs which can be bit heavy for the beginner.
Hope this helps :)
Thank you for using Q and A.
This one is definitely too heavy for a 1st timer. Try the alternative Opti Hoop to start with, then when you have mastered using this hoop, ( which is still heavier than a normal hoop) then move on to the weighted one. I couldn’t even get the 1.8 kg one to go around without it dropping to the floor when I 1st started using it, but by getting used to the alternative option, I can now use it
