Happy Memories
I brought the Spectrum several weeks ago and I'm very happy with the results. The gameplay brought back memories and lots of nostalgia

Nostalgia trap
Good for nostalgia but it would be great if they included the ability to accelerate the v slow games. Also the menu system is cumbersome and only allows 4 save slots. If you plan on programming in ZX Basic, give this a miss. The red of the symbols is almost impossible to see on the rubber keys (which are darker than the original) and even though it offers 128k Spectrum programming, you still have to use the awful 48k line editor, not the full screen one. The user manual is v short too although there is a detailed online version. Saving requires an additional memory stick which you have to format on a pc. There's no file manager for the usb drive. Overall, it's well made and almost identical with lovely packaging, v nostalgic, has some of the great games, but they are slow, crude and annoying most of the time! Get a usb Kempston compatible joystick with a v long lead as there's no Bluetooth or WiFi. If you can afford it, try to get hold of a ZX Spectrum Next which solves all these issues but cost 3x more usually!

Very close to the original. Great fun.
Very close to the original experience. HDMI, usb game pads, modern power, quick loading are all fantastic. My only gripe is the keyboard. It's not the same. The "rubber" is harder and not as responsive. 44 years and they managed to make one of the worst aspects of the original spectrum, were worse. Keyboard is not so much an issue as I'm not programming anymore, mostly games which I am playing with The Gamepad. However text adventures (The Hobbit) are not fun to play on this keyboard. Generally, get it and enjoy the old games again.
