Great gaming headset with full eq customisation and wealth of user made ones that you can search and download instantly. Build quality feels excellent especially compared to my last headset, the Playstation Pulse Elite, which snapped after several months.

My honest take on Astro50
I used Sennheisser, SteelSeries, HyperX headsets in the past and I couldn’t overlook the A50 (as a PC user). Every review praises how good of a package they are. And indeed after wearing them for a few days I can safely say that they’re very comfortable. Battery could be better, but they last a day (about 14 hours) in my experience. I leave them docked overnight and use them next day. You need to make sure both ear cups align properly with the dock before changing. Microphone is great, good clarity and ease of use. It cannot be removed, and it mutes when paralel to the headband. On PC you to connect the dock charger to the wall; then separate USB-A to PC. Also, great range on the wireless (think it’s bluetooth). Compared to SteelSeries nova 7 gen 7, Astros provide great coverage. I can cook or do summat else around the house. Tried wicked cushions w/ gel but sound changed. Magnetic, swappable ear cups. EQ required. Look a bit flimsy but solid when twisting. Maybe they’ll improve the design a bit with next gen.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Astro A50 Gen 5 Wireless Xbox, PS5, PC Gaming Headset Black: the previous gens you could swap the headband with a leather section, on the gen 5 this is no longer an option so nothing will "pop out" in the gen 5 Astro A50.
