The Panasonic NN-SF464M is a Flatbed Microwave Oven with no turntable, so you can use the full 27L capacity for all your microwavable foods on larger dishes up to 35 x 33cm for family cooking. The 1000 watts of microwave oven power and Panasonic's Inverter technology will guarantee fast, even cooking. The acrylic lining even makes cleaning easy.
A flatbed design offers 30% more cooking space than traditional turntable microwaves. This allows you to cook more food at once, and means you won't have to take as many trips to the microwave to heat extra dishes.

A good Flatbed microwave
My last 3 microwaves have all been flatbeds. I didn’t realise how bigger this one is compared to my previous ones. However there is more space inside & easier to clean. Only gave this 4 stars as my previous ones had a 30 second timer when pressing start which could be increased the time the more you pressed it which this one doesn’t but I guess I’ll get used to it.

Good flatbed microwave so far
Bought for Christmas. So far seems good, easy to clean. I need to dry the microwave a lot as the fan doesn't remove the steam fast enough before it condenses. I think it doesn't heat things as thoroughly as the old rotating microwave.

Great in principle but let down by quality
We loved the idea of a microwave with no turntable, easy to clean and greater capacity. The first of this model that we bought, lasted just over 2 years before the magnetron failed. Thinking we were just unlucky that it failed just outside of the 2 year warrantee, we decided to take a chance on another as we enjoyed the benefits of the flatbed design. Unfortunately, literally 2 days after the warrantee expired, we have noticed bubbling of the paint on the roof and major paint loss on the edges exposing large amounts of bare metal. From a heath and safety point of view, we feel this makes it too dangerous to use. For quite an expensive product, we feel this is unacceptable and feel very disappointed as we have always considered Panasonic a good brand.

Easy to use
I have this microwave and I find it very easy to use.However I bought this microwave from Argos for my 91 year old mum who only uses a microwave to cook.She is very pleased with it and being able to flat bed design it it much easier to clean than her old one.

Big microwave with great features.
I bought this 2 weeks ago and it is better than I expected. The inside of the microwave is big and larger dishes fit in. There is no glass plate inside so it's easier to clean and it looks really good. Thoroughly recommend to people looking for a larger microwave.

Fan doesn’t stay in to cool microwave after using.
Faulty. Microwave fan never stayed on after cooking so microwave soaking wet and full of steam. Called Panasonic and I was told to return to store because it was unsafe to use and could over heat. Photos show steam and water from dripping down after cooking and reheating food. Purchased another and it had the same fault. Disappointed because I wanted a flatbed microwave.

The Microwave does not have a mode stirrer. There is a stirrer which is included in the magnetron itself.

The Panasonic 1000W Standard Flatbed Microwave NN-SF464M Silver has no turntable which will allow you to cook larger portions, however this is a microwave and should only be used as such. Full instructions are in the user manual, included in the PDf below the product details.

You cannot roast chicken because it is just a microwave and does not have a convection or grill therfore the chicken wool be microwaved and not roasted

The microwave does not have a quick timer, you have to first press ths microwave button once which will be full power then enter the time using the 10 min or 1 min or 10second timer buttons or a combination of them to get the required time then press start. You cannot add extra time by pressing any of the timer buttons because nothing happens so either let the time,run down then set the timer again or cancel the timer and input a different time. It is not very user friendly

The Panasonic 1000W Standard Flatbed Microwave NN-SF464M Silver does have a quick timer option. You can press the "Quick 30" button to start the microwave for 30 seconds, and each additional press will add another 30 seconds to the cooking time.
