The Panasonic NN-SF464M is a Flatbed Microwave Oven with no turntable, so you can use the full 27L capacity for all your microwavable foods on larger dishes up to 35 x 33cm for family cooking. The 1000 watts of microwave oven power and Panasonic's Inverter technology will guarantee fast, even cooking. The acrylic lining even makes cleaning easy.
A flatbed design offers 30% more cooking space than traditional turntable microwaves. This allows you to cook more food at once, and means you won't have to take as many trips to the microwave to heat extra dishes.

Reheats faster than regular microwave
I was bit worried as this microwave doesn't need rotating plate. I have to say I am happy I got this microwave, it heats up and defrost food faster than the regular one!

Good microwave, dodgy door release pad
I am very pleased with this flatbed microwave - the fatbed is so much easier to clean than a turntable arrangement and there is flexibility to use dishes that are not circular in shape - but I have given it only 4 stars because within a few months the door release pad has stopped working properly. What happens is that when the machine is cold and I press the pad the door unlocks but does not spring open, so I have to pull under it with my other hand to open it which is a nuisance. For some reason, once the machine has heated up, pressing the release pad has the desired effect, i.e. the door springs open.

The Microwave does not have a mode stirrer. There is a stirrer which is included in the magnetron itself.

The Panasonic 1000W Standard Flatbed Microwave NN-SF464M Silver has no turntable which will allow you to cook larger portions, however this is a microwave and should only be used as such. Full instructions are in the user manual, included in the PDf below the product details.

You cannot roast chicken because it is just a microwave and does not have a convection or grill therfore the chicken wool be microwaved and not roasted

The Panasonic 1000W Standard Flatbed Microwave NN-SF464M Silver does have a quick timer option. You can press the "Quick 30" button to start the microwave for 30 seconds, and each additional press will add another 30 seconds to the cooking time.
