I bought this Byron doorbell about a month ago and I now find out it is not working properly after complaining to a delivery person that they hadn't used the doorbell. It will work after more than one push but is not reliable. My previous Byron bell was first class.

Buyer beware.
After installation it would only work intermittently , Argos kindly replaced it . unfortunately after following all the instructions it seemed OK in sitting room but when tried on door frame same thing happened. Range is supposed to be 100ft plus but this wouldn't work when plugged in only 5ft from bell push. Argos thankfully gave a refund.

The Byron DBY-22312 150m does not need the internet. This comes in two parts. One plug in chime unit and one wireless doorbell. You simply fit the battery in the doorbell and fix this to your desired space and then plug in the chime unit inside. Please see below for the fitting instructions:

This is a 3 pin plug, it's classed as wall mounted as the pusher needs to be mounted outside and the chime is technically wall mounted to the socket.

The manual also shows you can use a sticky tape included to fix the doorbell to a surface. Other answers here mention sticky tape too.

The Byron DBY-22312 150m Plug In Doorbell needs to be screwed to the surface being fixed to. This is clearly shown on the User Instructions found by clicking on 'View Document (PDF)' on the webpage.

No there is tape that comes with it I use a 3m sticky pad hope this helps

If screwing the door push to the wall, the rubber parts go in between the screws and the back plate. This is to protect the back plate from the screws.
