About this product
The Vax SpinScrub Power Plus is a proper deep carpet cleaner that gets right into the pile and lifts out the dirt you can't see. It's designed with rotating SpinScrub bristles that work into carpet fibres while pulling out moisture, so your carpets are dry in about an hour. The clean and dirty water tanks are big enough to tackle a whole home without constantly stopping to refill or empty. It's not just for floors either, the SpinScrub hand tool makes light work of upholstery, stairs and pet beds.
The hand tool has automatic rotating bristles, so you're not having to scrub back and forth manually. It sucks up spills as well as cleaning, which is handy for accidents or muddy paw prints. The power cord gives you plenty of reach, and the hose means you can get to furniture and stairs without dragging the whole machine around. At around 9kg it's sturdy rather than lightweight, but there's a carry handle to shift it between rooms. It comes with the SpinScrub hand tool, a wash tool, a hose, and antibacterial solution to get you started. Works on carpets, stairs and upholstery.

Wonderful cleaning!!!
I bought this 3 weeks ago because my hands are no longer adept at holding the VAX Spot cleaner to it's full potential. This machine is powerful, a tad heavy, but easy to move about. On my first use, I did a deep but quick clean on my lounge and 2 bedrooms but only the heavily walked areas. I was amazed at the dirty water!! The carpets were moist to the touch but dried quickly. They felt and looked so much better. I have used it again for the lounge, taking out furniture to get another angle to the walked areas and yes more dirty water!! It's easy to use, easy to fill and easy to clean. However, my only annoyance is the power lead!! It's long enough, BUT it's a pain where it is situated, right near the base by the wheels!! So when you pull the machine back it gets caught underneath or you tread on it. I now have to throw it over my shoulder or be careful that on turning it doesn't end up like a noose. Maybe, the boffins can come up with a solution or maybe try one of those corkscrew wires that they use for power tools!

Great light weight vac

I bought this a couple of weeks ago and it is so so easy to use! Brilliant product for the price. My 85 year old dad's carpets were really quite bad but I cleaned them with this machine. Amazing results. There are 2 settings aswell which is good...Deep clean and Quick clean. Would definitely recommend it.

great cleaning power - shame about the leaks
Well, it cleans fabulously - so no complaints about that. However, having filled the water tank and before switching it on, the machine leaks onto the floor so I'm having to ensure it's sitting on a pile of clothes to avoid oversoaking the carpet - bit tricky and not ideal.......

As with any carpet, we would always recommend that you refer to your carpet manufacturer who will advise if the material is suitable for cleaning and if so which treatment is best. Alternatively, you could try the solution out on a small area of the carpet in question to trial it.
