Tried this carpet cleaner out today for the first and find it to be rather heavy to move in smaller places. The advert shows it being used in a large room also I'm not as strong as I once was. My small flat made it a bit cumbersome, but it cleaned well

Very disappointing!
Too big to try and balance on the staircase so unable to clean stair carpet with the hose.Tried to clean stair carpet on the bottom step which about 800 x 800 with the hose attachment. It looks dirtier than before I cleaned it and my soft pile is now "crispy" to the touch. Attempted to clean a hall runner with the machine itself. Very difficult as you cannot tell how much water/solution you are putting down, consequently one end of the runner is wet through and the other end is dry!. I am now very reluctant to even attempt to clean my carpeted rooms - at this stage I think I have wasted my money purchasing this Vax

Hello There.
Vax SpinScrub Power Corded Carpet Cleaner:
The carpet cleaner is designed specifically for use on carpets and upholstery. It is not recommended for use on vinyl roll flooring, as the rotating brushes and water usage may damage the surface or allow moisture to seep underneath. For best results and to avoid potential issues, we suggest using a cleaner that is specifically designed for hard floors, including vinyl.
Thank you for using Q&A.
