No need for new carpet now
I bought this to clean the carpet before Christmas , I have two big dogs and the traffic area on the carpet from them gets really dirty , we used this machine and the vax spot cleaner and the carpet came up lovely and clean. It was almost like it was when I first bought it. Thank you Vax!

"I can confirm the spin scrub brushes are rotated by a motor which is inside the floorhead of the machine.
You have a row of brushes that connect to the base of the machine which connects to the floorhead, the spindle that rotates the brushes are connected to a belt which rotates the spindle."

The supplier has advised the following for the Vax SpinScrub Power Corded Carpet Cleaner:
"You can apply these products to mattresses, but please ensure the treated area is completely dry for at least 24 hours before using the mattress, similar to carpets or upholstery."
They add this following detail too:
"I would advise to do a small test on any materials including a mattress to ensure the product is suitable for use."
