Nice oven
Haven't had this oven for long. Works fine but oven seems quite small due to the shelving being so close together, so no cooking things at height or you will be taking shelves out. Also didn't come with a metal rack insert for the grill, you can use a shelf, but wires not close enough together for grilling, lucky I kept my old one from my Hotpoint!!

It's a compromise
Two most important points I want to make first are: 1. We bought this oven because the shape of it at the back gives space for a gas pipe going to our gas hob. It was the only oven we could find that would fit around the pipe (thank you to Neil in Hughes, Colchester for helping us find this oven). 2. The main oven is actually quite small, not too much of a problem for us as we don't buy a big turkey at Christmas but if you do then this isn't the oven for you. Other points worth making: We have had the same oven for 17 years, this new one has a lot more features, it is worth taking the time to read the instructions fully if you haven't had these features before. I don't like grilling without a pan handle, but I've noticed that all new ovens are without handles. For the grill you use a shelf with the large pan below it, the shelf doesn't fit in the pan like a normal grill pan and it's a bit fiddly trying to pull it all out without a handle everytime you want to turn your food. The alarm for the timer is very quiet. It comes with two shelves, a large pan and two smaller pans. As you have to use 1 shelf and 1 pan for the grill, I think it would be more helpful to come with 2 shelves and a proper grill pan. As the ovens are small they both heat up quickly. We have had it a week and everything has cooked nicely. But it can seem a bit crowded in the main oven as its not very big. This oven was about £200 more than other ovens we looked at but they wouldn't fit unless we paid a plumber to remove the gas pipe and then bought a new hob and got an electrician to wire it in with a new switch. So in the end this oven was cheaper and less hassle than changing the hob and the oven but I feel we have had to compromise and accept a smaller main oven. I don't see why it is so much more expensive than other ovens available other than it has the bosch name.

New Bosch oven
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought the Bosch double oven as a replacement for an existing oven. We had always been pleased with the Bosch we had so we automatically went for the same updated model. This one has some nice features eg digital timers and lights in both ovens. We partially like the half size cooking trays We always go for Bosch if possible as you get good service from Bosch products.
