About this product
The Sony HTSC40 delivers cinema-style sound with a 2.1 channel setup pairing a soundbar and wireless subwoofer for deep, room-filling bass. With 330W total power (200W from the bar and 130W from the sub), it's built for immersive movies and music. Sony's X-Balanced speaker technology uses rectangular units to deliver clear dialogue and powerful sound with minimal distortion, so you catch every word. Dolby Digital and S-Force Pro Front Surround emulate surround sound without extra speakers around the room.
The wireless subwoofer connects without trailing cables, so you plug it in near a socket and it delivers low-end punch. At 90cm wide, the soundbar fits most TV setups and wall-mounts if you want to keep your stand clear, with the included template. Connectivity includes HDMI, optical (both cables included), USB, and Bluetooth for wireless music streaming from your phone or tablet. You get a remote with batteries, all cables, wall-mount template, and a 1-year manufacturer's guarantee. The soundbar weighs 2.4kg and the subwoofer 7.3kg, with auto power-off to reduce energy use when not in use.

Immense Sound Bar - Don't Wait, Buy it!
This sound bar and wireless sub is immense, we had a secondhand one that was around 9 years old and not performing like it should and having made the decision to replace went with Sony - Because it's Sony - and also because of the quality - the sound, especially when watching movies is amazing. Connecting and setting up a doddle and definitely worth every penny spent.

Massive step backwards
Bought this when my old Sony HT-CT60BT of 11 years packed in. At 5 times the wattage and 11 years of development since, I was expecting a significantly improved experience. However the new system is far inferior. The sound is dull and muffled, no better than my inbuilt tv speakers. The only time it comes alive is watching an action film and the sub woofer kicks in. My old system was far superior in clarity and connectivity - this new model does not even have an aux input so I can't plug in my turntable like I used to. Extremely disappointed.
