About this product
Keep your room comfortable all year round with this ceiling fan and light that circulates air when it's warm and helps retain heat when temperatures drop. The three curved arms create a sleek, contemporary look that blends brushed metal with wood-effect blades and opaque glass shades, fitting in well with modern interiors. It replaces your existing ceiling light, giving you fan and lighting in one practical fitting. Remote control operation lets you adjust fan speed and light settings from your seat, while your main light switch powers everything on and off as usual.
It takes two ES golfball LED bulbs up to 10 watts each so you can choose your preferred light colour. The 130cm diameter provides air circulation for medium to large rooms, and the opaque glass shades diffuse light gently while the fan does its work. The remote control keeps operation simple and fuss-free, and the brushed metal and wood-effect finish means it'll suit your decor for years to come. Backed by a one-year manufacturer's guarantee.

Good fan but difficult to install
First things first: It's an absolute pig to install, going from a traditional hanging light to this. Be prepared to re-jig your existing install so only the three required cables come down through the rose, as once the control unit is inserted there's next to no space. Took two moderately competent adults a little over two hours to get installed. However, now it is installed, it is fantastic. On the lowest speed it moves a good amount of air and is quiet enough for a bedroom, though not silent. High speed would nearly blow you back out of the room, though if you want to use it I definitely recommend following the instructions to balance the blades correctly. The light and fan can be controlled independently using the remote, and it supports powering on in the last mode used. A second remote (or even a simple light on/off button) would be the only other improvement I'd suggest, as it has functionally removed the need to ever turn it off at the wall.

Fan
Fantastic couldn’t have got through heatwave without. Its heavy so prob need an electrician to do. Lovely modern design, 3 settings and it’s pretty quiet much more than a stand up fan. Will buy more .

Good looks and functional.
Second one we bought as we loved the first one and with the hot weather it's a no brainer. Cost pennies to run and makes a huge difference in hot weather or even in winter when you want the room a uniform temperature. Add some hue bulbs for increased functionality.

Ceiling fan and light
This light is a pain in the backside to fit, don't expect it to be an hour job... It definitely is a full afternoon 🙄. Once fitted properly it's lovely and quiet... But you have to make any extra journey back to argos as you don't get bulbs 🙄. It's worth it in the end.

Ceiling Fan
Nice quiet ceiling fan with light. Very easy to put up on your own and wiring straight forward. The remote box is a bit tight but just make sure you only have enough wire to reach as no room for spare. Gives off a nice light and fan works really well.

Quiet fan
I have had this for about a year now, and on low it is very quite, also not to bad on the other two speeds. As for fitting, pretty easy, if you are a bit handy.

Hello rebecky,
The supplier has advised for the Home Anders Wooden 3 Arm Remote Control Ceiling Fan: The fan can be used in a property with a smart meter. A smart meter will record the electricity used by the fan in the same way as any other electrical appliance.
This fan has a rated power input of 61.9 W. This means that when operating at maximum power, it uses approximately 0.062 kWh of electricity per hour.
The running cost will vary depending on the customer's electricity tariff. Examples are shown below:
At £0.25/kWh: approximately 1.5p per hour
At £0.30/kWh: approximately 1.9p per hour
At £0.35/kWh: approximately 2.2p per hour
This fan does not use a large amount of electricity. Its maximum power consumption is 61.9 W, which is much lower than most household appliances. At typical UK electricity rates, it costs only a few pence per hour to run.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hello Tommy,
Regarding your recent query about the Argos Home Anders Wooden 3 Arm Remote Control Ceiling Fan.
I can confirm The light on this item is generally effective for smaller to average-sized bedrooms, but its shallow, multi-arm glass shades cast a directional and scattered glow rather than a bright, ambient spread.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hello Peter,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Argos Home Anders Wooden 3 Arm Remote Control Ceiling Fan: Ceiling fans themselves are not classified under the EU/UK energy rating system because they are not considered standalone lighting products or appliances covered by the current energy label regulations.
The energy rating (A–G) applies to light sources such as bulbs and lamps, not to the fan motor. If your ceiling fan includes integrated light bulbs, those bulbs would have their own energy rating based on their efficiency and color temperature.
In this case, the fan does not have an energy rating, but the bulbs (if included) would follow the standard energy label requirements.
Thank you for using Q&A.

It operates the same in the winter, it works in tandem with your heating to push the heat around the room instead of it rising out of the room.
