No detachable water tank
Got it out of the box to then realise, this wasn't the steamer for me. Once I saw that the water tank is fixed to the unit and not detachable, it went straight back in the box. In other words, if it isn't empty after use, you'll have to lift the entire unit over the sink to empty it, which is quite a clunky steamer to be lifting. In my opinion, I don't think it's a good design for that reason alone or worth the money. I ended up returning within 2 hours and got an upright multi purpose steamer instead for half the price that does exactly the same thing.

Bought this December 2025. So far so good. Great range of attachments and has been excellent on my the grout and tiles in my shower. 1 star off as I don't think the small round brush attachment is going to last long - it's looking a bit mangled already after just a couple of uses.

Had a Karcher before which was very good but this new one knocks spots off it. Clarks excellently and is very manoeuvrable, evens cleans baths etc.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised Karcher SC 2 EasyFix Steam Cleaner:
The SC 2 EasyFix can be used with our carpet glider in order to freshen up carpets, but we wouldn't recommend using a steam cleaner on wool carpets as these can sometimes be too delicate for the steam/heat produced.
The SC 2 upright isn't compatible with carpets as doesn't have a steam setting which would be suitable for freshening up carpets or rugs.
