These earbuds offer all-day comfort with a flexible joint and light grip that make them easy to forget. I really wanted to love these
I have been looking for an open ear earphone that has great quality sounding bass. In this department these ear buds did not disappoint. The sound is xeiap and the bass is delicious considering they are open ear. Unfortunately everything else was disappointing. I wore these for around 8 hours including a three hour flight before I had to charge, 10mins does give 2 hours of listening so the battery claims are legit. Connectivity was terrible. Snap crackle and pop with the odd "bzzzzt" which snaps you right out of what ever you were enjoying. Makes for an absolutely horrible experience. There are times where the sound just stops transmitting. All of these are known issues which should have been resolved in the 2024 update (most recent) so I took a risk in buying and regretted it within 24 hours.

New for me
I’m actually undecided about these earbuds. However it’s nothing to do with quality or service or sound quality. It’s to do with my personal opinion and my history with earphones/bud. I’ve always used noise cancelling ones and these ones are not. The quality of the charging case and the buds themself is perfect. The buds themselves are fantastic quality and so light to wear you can easily forget you have them in. My only negative it that they are not noise cancelling and I am struggling to get used to that but because of all the positives I’m going to continue using them and becoming more used to them.

Looks and sound great, fitment poor for my ears
I bought these as the in-ear buds in general were causing inner ear issues. Generally pleased with them. Would give 3.5 stars if I could. My first Bose earphones. The sound is very good, maybe the best way to describe the sound is full, vibrant and complete. The build quality is excellent and the aesthetics are excellent, they are a beautiful design. The fitment is innovative but doesn't fit my ears well. When I press the bud into my ear, the sound is amazing but the speakers dont sit close to my ear canal when relying on the fitment. I think the universe fitment doesn't match my ear which is disappointing. Great sound and looks but pricey for them to not fit my ears well.

Amazing sound and comfort with just one quirk
I am extremely impressed with the Bose Ultra Open Earbuds! The design is brilliant – they are incredibly lightweight and so comfortable that I completely forget I'm wearing them. The sound quality is superb, offering amazing clarity and a surprisingly deep space without blocking your ears at all. The only minor downside is that the Bose Music app doesn't show the exact battery percentage of the charging case, so you have to rely on the LED light indicator on the case itself. Other than that, everything is absolutely perfect so far. Highly recommend them!

Disappointing earbuds
Great Fit, But No One Can Hear Me I am highly disappointed with this product. I gave it 1 star because the main reason I bought these earbuds does not work.While they fit perfectly in my ear, they are useless for phone calls. I can hear the other person perfectly clear, but they cannot hear me at all. To have a conversation, I am forced to either shout at the top of my lungs or turn off Bluetooth completely and switch to my phone's speaker.Looking through the other reviews, I see that I am not the only person experiencing this exact issue. This is clearly a widespread defect with the microphone. The manufacturer needs to fix this design flaw immediately. I do not recommend buying these if you need to make phone calls.

I was an early adopter of open ear, appreciated the joy of music and the sound of life. The new Ultra have better depth of sound and improved volume. Love them.

Function without sacrifice
Bought a few weeks ago on a bit of a whim. Always had a fondness of Bose products, mainly because of their sound, ergonomics & longevity. I feel even though premium, they offer fantastic value for money. I also have a set of QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds II - so these felt excessive, but I use earphones most days & I felt these serve a very different purpose. These don't have the sound quality of the Earbuds (I had one first gen & the second are a huge step up in terms of design & audio performance), but they are a very good functional alternative. How the sound engineers have managed to get them to sound like they do is beyond me. I use these for short train journeys, commuting, days when the office is busy, jobs around the house & dog walks & then my Earbuds for longer train journeys, the gym & when I don't need to hear my ambient surroundings. My top tip is follow the fitting carefully & then the important bit - move downwards so the speaker is as close to the ear canal as possible. They do feel like they'll fall out - it is very odd, but so far they haven't come out at all - including on a quick 6 mile run. Was wanting to hate these but ended up loving them! Unfortunately feel like I need to finish the collection now with the new Ultra Headphones II!:)

I can confirm that the Bose Ultra Open Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds - Black need to be placed inside the case to charge. There is a charging cable included which is USB-A to USB-C. The USB-C end us plugged into the case.

From the information we have available, I can confirm these Bose Ultra Open Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds are not bone conduction headphones. These still fit inside the ear, the difference from other earbuds is the brilliant combination of innovative design, incredible audio and all-day comfort. The earbuds have a cuff-like fit, which leaves your ears totally open so you can still hear the world around you.

They are durable for any size ear and fit very nicely on the ear. They don’t actually go directly into the ear canal, they sit on the ledge and they hook up around the side. That’s why you can also hear people talking whilst listening to music. Hope that helps you out!
