Easy to set up and nice and loud
Bought this as I needed a doorbell that could move around with me - if I was up the garden or upstairs, I wouldn't necessarily hear my old doorbell as it had to be plugged in. This is much better. Easy to set up and I just screwed it to the front door frame - it didn't come with screws or batteries for the portable unit, but it the doorbell had a battery and there was a stick pad to adhere to the door frame if wanted..... Lots of different tones and melodies to choose from - some very naff LOL. I've opted for a traditional 'ding dong'!!!

Party purchase
Bought this so that we can hear the doorbell when we're in the back garden (and we have a quite large party this weekend). Certainly loud enough for that: does the job and was very easy to fit - less than 5 minutes. Some rather naff melodies, but enough good ones that there isn't a problem. Very pleased with it so far.

Hello Sheikh
Byron DBY-22311 150m Portable Doorbell
No, the Byron DBY-22311 150m Portable Doorbell does not need Wi-Fi. It is a traditional wireless, battery-powered doorbell system that uses radio frequencies (433 MHz) to communicate between the push button and the portable chime unit.
Key features of this model:
Connectivity: It is a standard wireless system, not a smart doorbell, so it has no internet or app-based features.
Power Source: The bell push runs on one CR2032 battery (included), and the portable chime unit requires three AA batteries (not included).
Functionality: When the push button is pressed, a radio signal is sent to the chime unit, which then plays one of 16 selectable melodies.
Installation: Installation is simple, requiring no wiring and no connection to your home network
Thank you for using Q&A.

Hi there,
Having checked, the Byron DBY-22311 150m Portable Doorbell is not available in Black.
Thanks for using Q&A
This happened to me too. The instructions are pretty useless.
This worked for me. You have to use gentle force to make the tip of the metal electrode clip which lies across middle of the circular area lie a bit lower and also there is a smaller electrode clip at the edge which may need to be squashed against the side wall a bit more.
Then the lid should be able to close.
Hi Jerry,
Byron DBY-22311 150m Portable Doorbell
Having checked I can see you need to pop the push bell from the housing unit and you will be able to replace the battery. Please see instructions below:
