We have been having difficulty hearing people knock on our front door so decided to get a bell. The Byron DBY doorbell is perfect for us as the chiming unit is portable so even if we are in the garden we will always know if there is someone at the door

Am looking for a doorbell camera and chime but all are inconsistent with reviews. So a door chime is for now but this is good quality and loud enough for the next room. Not so rushed for a camera now because of how this is working.

I'm very pleased with this doorbell. The bellpush was easy to fix with the adhesive strip (screws also supplied if you prefer). It's battery operated so no need to wire anything in (3xAA batteries required). Good choice of ringtones - I was delighted to find a snippet of 'We wish you a Merry Christmas' included which I am now using throughout December. Great value.

This happened to me too. The instructions are pretty useless.
This worked for me. You have to use gentle force to make the tip of the metal electrode clip which lies across middle of the circular area lie a bit lower and also there is a smaller electrode clip at the edge which may need to be squashed against the side wall a bit more.
Then the lid should be able to close.
