Food slicer
Rubbish doesn't cut blade not sharp enough
Phil, 45 - 54
Cookworks food slicer.
Bought this to make life easier being 75. Question, ‘Is there an on/off switch to keep slicing’. Answer is not correct. Tried to return. Would not even look at it. Said no, as it had been used. How am I meant to know if it works or otherwise if I don’t use it? Rang Argos CS, final advice was, try another store’. I’ve got it in my daughter’s car for going to local waste facility. This item is not fit for purpose. Wish I had taken more notice of negative reviews esp that ‘blade appears blunt’ which means you end up with shredded meat instead of slices. Will purchase an ordinary carving knife soon.

Good budget product
I bought this to help me slice ham and bread. It does a good job but the guide is not secure and the whole unit is a faff to wash.

Not Great
Took the first one back as couldn't get it to unfold. This one is only slightly better, very stiff & quite difficult to slide, doesn't run smoothly. Bought it for slicing bread, have to use largest width setting otherwise it just crumbles, also the corner of the slices get stuck between the blade and it is quite dangerous to try and release.
Gk
Excellent quality and functionality for the price.
This simple to put together and use, and fulfills its purpose admirably. Perfect for meats and bread.

Great value for money
A lot cheaper than alternatives but I am Pleased with the results of this slicer . I have only sliced warm joints and it’s been easy. It is tricky to clean but it makes cutting a joint so easy I do not mind the cleaning of it afterwards . Great value for money

Ok for occasional use
This slicer is ok for occasional use and does the job ok.I don’t know how long it will last for as quite flimsy. You only get what you pay for.

OK for Occasional Use
I bought this to make slicing the weekly ham a little easier. It's not very sturdy, or robust and it's a little fiddly to use. The thickness gauge moves, with any pressure. Also, you need to keep the power button pressed, which means you have to Alice one handed. It does slice, but, as the title suggests, I wouldn't want to use it too often. It dismantles, for cleaning, but with some difficult to access nooks. The positives are: Cheapest one I could find Folds for storage
