About this product

Bought this as was having a walk in shower installed due to mobility issues. It is a great help and is made of high quality materials so feel safe sitting on it whilst showering.

Solid seat
Good solid seat but it has a design flaw. Because the seat is curved it does not fold flat to the wall and the legs stick out quite a bit. May not be a problem in a large shower but in a 900mm quadrant shower it is an issue. In all other respects it seems a sturdy seat. Unfortunately had to return it for the reason mentioned

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Shower Seat with Legs: I’ve spoken with our technical team who have advised:
I would be very wary about installing this on a stud wall.
We have not tested this on such a wall, and up to 160kg on a piece of plasterboard is worrying.
There are 6# 8mm mounting holes if this helps the user decide.

The seat is 48cm (19”) wide x 29cm (11”) deep and 12cm (5”) from the wall. The height is 43 - 58cm

The supplier has advised the following for the Shower Seat with Legs - Wall Mounted:
“ This sounds fine, I have pasted the instructions from the manual below to confirm:
(This) ...must be permanently fitted to a wall before use. They feature six 8mm diameter holes and should only be fitted by a competent person and fastened to a wall which has the capacity to withstand the vertical load and leverage applied during use. Fasteners are not supplied because the method of fixing will depend on material and thickness of the wall. The person fitting the seat will be able to supply suitable fasteners. ”

The seat does have to be fastened to a wall which has the capacity to withstand the vertical load and leverage applied during use.
Please seek professional advice before attaching the seat to the wall.
One the seat is attached you are unable to change the height, unless you are changing the positions of the wall fixings as well.

On both models, the seat is 48cm (19”) wide x

The height on the SWALL002 is 43 - 58cm
(17” - 23”) to the top of the seat.
