The Epson Expression Home XP-4205 is designed for home users seeking reliable all-in-one printing without sacrificing quality or space. It prints, scans and copies in a compact machine that fits smaller spaces, printing at 10ppm black and 5ppm colour. The 5760x1440dpi resolution delivers sharp text and vibrant photos, while the 100-sheet tray handles up to A4 and 300gsm paper. Automatic duplex printing lets you print on both sides without flipping pages, saving paper and keeping documents professional.
Wireless connectivity lets you print from your phone or tablet using Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Apple AirPrint, or the Epson iPrint app, so you're not tied to cables or one computer. The 6.1cm LCD screen simplifies navigation, and borderless printing ensures photos have no white edges. It uses 4 individual ink cartridges (Black 604 and 604 Pineapple CMY), which is more economical than replacing all colours at once. Some useful features.
I bought this to replace an Epson printer I had had for years. It is a very flimsy printer compared to my old one. It was fairly easy to set up but surprisingly time consuming having to wait several minutes each time for something to set up. I had the most difficulty trying to connect to the Epson connect system to get cartridges under their monthly plan. The chat bot made it very confusing and complicated. After googling I found a much better and quicker solution. The printer itself is easy to use but I would have preferred one without an LCD display but none available as out of stock everywhere I tried. There was a lot of unnecessary papers in the box and nothing to explain how to set up. I am 79 and fortunately fairly competent with technology but anyone who isn’t might have difficulty setting it up even though it has a setup wizard which it seemed to bypass in my case. I set it up for use with both my laptop and iPad. Very useful being able to print directly from my IPad and like the double sided print option. The print is very clear. You do need to check the screen before printing if you want black and white copies not colour.

A Smooth Process.
Very impressed with how easy it was to discover, read about and order the Epsom XP 4205 printer Arranging to collect at our local Sainsbury’s too was easy and the whole process was straightforward. The printer was quite easy to set up and subscribe to Epsom Print deals. It works very well & we are pleased we decided to deal with Argos.

It does the job
I bought this a few weeks ago to replace an Epson printed that gave up after 30 years. Not sure this one will last as long, but at least it has a scanner. Some of the printing is fainter than I would like, and the printer keeps losing connection to the internet. When it does lose connection it doesn't reconnect itself and the router password has to be typed in again, which is a pain. Other than that the printers fine.
