About this product
When you've got doorways or openings that are wider than standard, you need a gate that actually fits. This screw-fit safety gate extends from 75cm right up to 117cm with the included extensions, so it'll work across larger spaces without leaving gaps. The double-locking system keeps curious toddlers safely on the right side while still opening easily with one hand when you're juggling laundry or a wriggling child.
The dual locks on the handle work together to make it tricky for little fingers to figure out, but straightforward for adults who know the trick. It swings both ways, so you can push through from either direction without wrestling it open. The wide walk-through section means you won't be squeezing past with shopping bags or bumping your hips every time you go through. At 74cm tall, there's a step-over bar at the bottom, which helps keep the gate rigid and secure once it's screwed into place.

We are getting a puppy and we bought this to go across the hallway to stop him running to the front door and also not go upstairs. It is a great width and fits the gap great. It was on offer so an even better buy. It appears very stable and safe . It was easy to install with ok instructions.

Good product but…
Product is great, good locking & stability - however, if you want it to fit between 81cm & 87cm you will need to purchase an extra 6 cm piece too, so just be aware. Also, I’m not keen on the “tool” you use to tighten it up as you need a gap already between the round wall cups to slot the tool into. I struggled with that. Once up it’s a good product.

Fit for purpose
I bought this two weeks ago and is relatively easy to put together though the manual didn't help much. My space was 100cm which is awkwardly right between the 6 (not included) and 12 inch extensions. Needed a little energy to tighten the bits. Sturdy product and fit for purpose. Locks easily on a gentle pull but the opening does not work if your hands are full.

Yes, you can absolutely use an extension piece on just one side of the gate. You do not have to split them evenly or use them on both sides simultaneously.
The package includes two specific extensions:

So, for a 110 cm opening, you would need the additional extension to reach that size.

The supplier has advised for the Cuggl Extra Wide Safety Gate - White: This gate won’t fit a gap of 85cm and I’m not sure it would be safe to use in a gap where there is a 5cm difference between the top and bottom.
