About this product
When you've got doorways or openings that are wider than standard, you need a gate that actually fits. This screw-fit safety gate extends from 75cm right up to 117cm with the included extensions, so it'll work across larger spaces without leaving gaps. The double-locking system keeps curious toddlers safely on the right side while still opening easily with one hand when you're juggling laundry or a wriggling child.
The dual locks on the handle work together to make it tricky for little fingers to figure out, but straightforward for adults who know the trick. It swings both ways, so you can push through from either direction without wrestling it open. The wide walk-through section means you won't be squeezing past with shopping bags or bumping your hips every time you go through. At 74cm tall, there's a step-over bar at the bottom, which helps keep the gate rigid and secure once it's screwed into place.

4.5 stars, just a bit awkward to fit
Easy open, just one button and lift the gate. A bit fiddly to install as it doesn’t have the standard hex nut, so you have to use the tool supplied which fits into the end of the securing nut. This means you have to have ample space between the securing nut and the wall to get the tool in. However the securing nut locks into place so it doesn’t come undone over time (a problem I’ve had with other gates).

The supplier has advised for the Cuggl Extra Wide Safety Gate - White: This gate won’t fit a gap of 85cm and I’m not sure it would be safe to use in a gap where there is a 5cm difference between the top and bottom.
