After checking with our supplier, they have advised: This is PE (Polyethylene) coating under the fabric.
The care and maintenance instructions are as follows:
Proper maintenance of the camping equipment is important. This keeps items functioning better and they have a longer service life.
Spot clean with mild soapy water, allow fabric to dry naturally and wipe surfaces dry.
Do not use bleach, acid, solvents or abrasive cleaners
Store in a cool, dry place when not in use.

Why would you want to do that ? Its far easier to use a bucket of soapy water, you do own a bucket dont you ?.
