Once the refrigerator is levelled and stable, it can be placed on a carpeted surface. However, please be aware that pet hair and carpet fibres may affect the heat dissipation of the inverter compressor. This could impact performance over time, so it's worth considering before installation.

Having checked the instructions, it does appear straight forward to remove the tank and reinstall it. This would be dependent on the user capabilities.
To remove the tank.
1. Hold the two sides of the water tank
tightly, then pull up the water tank by
shaking up and down.
2. Unscrew the head, then clean it and the inside of the water tank.
To assemble, drain the water inside the tank and check to see if the washer is reversed or not.
1. Insert the head into the hole.
2. Fit the tank along the guides on the door.
3. Press down on the two sides of the tank.

Having checked the manual, it does advise to when first starting-the Fridgemaster MS91520DEB American Fridge Freezer - Black, let the appliance run at least 2 hours on the higher settings before putting food in the compartment.
