Poor lid opening
I found the lid troublesome. U need 2 actions to release the lid - push back and keep pushed while u lift. When u do get lid to lift up, it only opens halfway. Additionally my kettle wouldn't always switch off when boiled. I definitely don't recommend. There are much better kettles at the same or cheaper price online.

Good quality kettle
I bought this so I had a matching kettle and toaster, boils water very quickly,and can boil just enough for 1 or 2 cups to save energy

Boils quicker than my last kettle
I’m pleased that this kettle boils faster than my last kettle but I have to use two hands to open the lid - one to hold the kettle and the other to open the switch on the lid. With my last kettle I could open the lid by pressing with my thumb of the hand which was holding the kettle.

Good Kettle
I just grabbed a cheap kettle but I now love this kettle. It will boil quick with a 2 cup fill. Not the quietest kettle but very stylish and stays cleaner than metal or glass. In fact it seems to clean itself. Dunno how but yeah. Would but this again
