The Cookworks WK8290QEH Texture Tilly Kettle - Black does not get very hot on the exterior; However, once boiled the kettle should only be held by the handle.

I would say probably not a good idea. My kitchen tap is wider than the spout opening and for he personally I wouldnt consider it.
