Bought 2 weeks ago to keep arlo pro 3 floodlight charged. Sadly not much charch but this could be due to weather and shorter days. Will update when better weather.

Works well now, hope it still performs over winter
We fitted the solar panel onto a South-East facing wall in order to charge an Arlo camera which faces onto a street and which tends to trigger quite frequently. The camera is mounted next to an upstairs window and it is awkward to lean out and unscrew it from its mounting. Previously we had to do this every few months to re-charge the camera but since fitting the solar panel a few weeks ago it has maintained the camera charge at 100% and we are hoping that there will be less need to remove the camera for mains-charging. We are of course aware that May is a good month for solar power and whilst we are not sure how well the solar panel will perform over the winter nevertheless we are hopeful that it will still help. The Arlo solar panel is very expensive so before buying it we checked reviews of much cheaper compatible models, mostly made in China. The latter had mixed reviews some of which said they broke down and/or that they were useless. However the reviews of the Arlo solar panel were also very mixed with some people being very dissatisfied. Therefore we were not sure whether to pay so much more to buy the Arlo product but decided to do so, mostly on the basis that there seemed to be thousands of users of these as opposed to much smaller numbers for the compatible products. Anyway we will continue to monitor the performance of the Arlo solar panel especially as we go into autumn and then winter to see how effective it is or isn’t.

Surprisingly small and lightweight.Eaay to install only 2 screws. Is keeps the Arlo camera battery well charged and saves the inconvenience of removing the battery from the camera to be recharged from a charging point in the house. Perfect for cameras that have been installed in a high to reach location. Once installed there is no more ladder work. A fix and forget energy saving item.

Hi there,
Regarding the Arlo Solar Panel With Magnet Charge Cable. The Solar Panel you have listed VMA5600-20000S won’t work with the Essential Range of Cameras. Essential Cameras have a different external charge so require VMA3600-10000S.
