Filter is good too.
Great little kettle, just does what it says and takes up very little room on the work surface.

Disappointed. Inferior to its predecessor.
I bought this kettle as replacement for the 2017 model which has provided such good service since January 2018 until a few weeks ago when it developed a random switch fault that has since rectified itself. The replacement kettle has been great disappointment. It functions but its design is grossly inferior in terms of appearance and operation: The broad spout can lead to accidental spillage of boiling water. The operation of the lid requires a second hand to open it and hold it open whilst filling. The element is exposed and therefore liable to hard limescale deposit. The power supply connector on the base unit is a clumsy appendage. The warning light in the switch lever is a poor relation to the attractive blue light in my old kettle. It takes longer to boil than my old one.The narrow base makes the kettle look unstable. Why has the former design been discontinued? It is a cheap basic kettle but I regret buying it, especially as my old one has rectified itself and continues now to provide good service!

Does what it says great kettle

Good value, messy for pouring
As ever from Cookworks/Argos this kettle was really great value. I have to agree with other reviewers that the wide spout is a design fault. You need to pour slowly, othrwise the water goes everywhere. Otherwise, you really can't complain for the price.

Cheap and cheerful kettle that does the job
It's a kettle and it was cheap.it boils water. For the price ok. Lids a bit fiddly and setting it on the base takes a couple of goes. You get what you pay for
