Quick and quite to boil - but with issues.
Had to buy a kettle quickly, bought this one. I have used it daily, one big issue I found is, when pouring the boiled water came out very quickly compared to others I have bought in the past. It's spout is also wide, so I recommend taking it slowly when pouring. I have had several instances where I have poured it over my keyboard and mouse. SO BE AWARE!!!

It boils water!
This kettle is fantastic. You fill it up with as much water as you need and switch it on. When the water boils, it turns itself off. My previous kettle wasn't doing this. That's why I bought this one. If you want a basic kettle that boils water for you, this baby is just for you! 🙂

Good product, but with some reservations
As a no-frills kettle, at a sensible price, this Cookworks kettle hits the spot. We bought this kettle for an elderly relative, having already been very satisfied with an earlier version which we bought for ourselves. However, this latest version, although the same capacity, is slightly less tall and larger in diameter. This moves the centre-of-gravity further from the handle which makes the kettle feel much heavier and more difficult to control when full. Secondly, it is impossible to open the lid to refill the kettle without using two hands as the lid needs to be forced back onto a latch, while holding the kettle stable with the other hand, in order for the lid to remain open. Fortunately we are able to fill the kettle through the spout and rarely need to fill it completely, so can cope with this short-coming, but it seems a shame that an established, successful design has been replaced by something slightly inferior.

I bought the Argos own brand kettle two weeks ago. It has a clean simple design, boils water quickly and is easy to keep clean.
