Great mechanism and feature
I bought this cookworks kettle couple of weeks ago as I usually buy electrical items from Argos. As Argos are reliable, trustworthy, are very up to date with their products/services and information

Does the job
Good basic kettle, seems well made and functions as it should. My last Argos cheapo kettle lasted 3 years so can't complain at these prices.

Basic kettle
This is an excellent value kettle. It's a generous size for its cost, basic but does the job so the perfect choice for anyone like me who wants a basic, no-frills appliance. This just works!

Works
Works fine. Cheap. Minimum two mugs of water. Heating element is the traditional spiral type. The old kettle had a heating element hidden in the bottom which allowed a lower minimum of water to be boiled. Less water = less electricity. It would be useful if minimum amounts of water were shown in the advertising. Many people live alone but are forced to boil for two.

Good kettle
Recently bought this kettle to replace a previous Cookworks kettle which, after 10 years of service, had just started to leak. A basic kettle which does the job. Why pay more?

Not what I thought
Not what I thought, when I open the box I realised it was not the base I wanted,I looked no further returned it to the retailer and replaced it for a more suitable alternative.

Great price, works very well
I bought this to use whilst staying in an Airbnb (as the kettle supplied was awful!)- so I didn’t want to spend a lot of money. The kettle was a reasonable price, has a good capacity, boils quickly & not overly noisy. Only 4 stars, because I didn’t realise the kettle is visible in the base of the kettle, where limescale might collect- rather than like most kettles nowadays, which have the element within the base. Still works perfectly fine though
