The seat can be rear or forward facing as your child grows. The multi-recline feature has 4 positions ideal for naps or when they want to see outside. Apologies, based on the weight that you've suggested, this wouldn't be suitable as it only goes up to 18Kgs, you may need to look at group two, but this will depend on the Childs height.
