Excellent 'next gen' shaver...
I was looking for a replacement for my old Braun electric, 2 head, shaver as it was around 8 years old and needed some spares. My 7000 S7882/55 was purchased by my wife as a Christmas present and it really is a 'next generation' shaver compared to the Braun. It's quiet, fast and delivers a really smooth shave, even in the hard to get regions of the neck. Great shaver, I look forward to using it every day - the cleaning pot is great and keeps the shaver head clean and lubricated. Excellent.

Philips Shaver Series 7000: A Review The Verdict: My face feels like a silk sheet, but my bathroom looks like a crime scene for hair. I bought the Philips Series 7000 because the box promised it was "designed for sensitive skin." Apparently, my skin is so sensitive that it cries during Pixar movies, so I figured this was the tech for me. The Good: The "SkinGlide" rings are no joke. They’re coated with thousands of tiny glass-like beads that make the shaver slide over your face like a professional figure skater. It’s so smooth I actually forgot I was shaving and started wondering if I was just massaging my jawline with a very expensive vibrating toy. It’s also quieter than my last shaver, which sounded like a lawnmower trying to eat a chain-link fence. The "Smart" Part: It connects to an app via Bluetooth. Yes, a Bluetooth shaver. Because in 2024, if your grooming habits aren't being tracked by a satellite and converted into a bar graph, are you even living? The app told me my "circular motions" were inefficient. There is nothing quite as humbling as a smartphone judging your wrist technique at 7:00 AM while you’re standing there in your underwear. The Struggle: While it’s great for the environment, the "Eco-friendly" cleaning station is a bit of a diva. It requires a specific blue liquid that smells like a mix of "Mountain Breeze" and "Laboratory Accident." If you don't use it, the shaver starts looking at you with silent judgment. Also, it’s a rotary shaver, which means it’s great for the cheeks but turns into a high-stakes game of Operation when you get near the nose or that one weird spot on the neck where hair grows in three different dimensions. Final Thoughts: If you want to feel like you’re shaving with a cloud that provides data analytics, this is for you. Just be prepared for your phone to tell you that your shaving "form" needs work. Rating: 4.5/5 stars. (Lost half a star because it knows more about my face than my therapist does.)

Excellent Shaver.Terrible Acompanying App.
Excellent Shaver. Excellent cleaning pod. Terrible accompanying app. When I first started using it over two years ago, GroomTribe was brilliant. I actually looked forward to shaving every morning. The most recent upgrade is awful. I dread shaving each morning. The original app awarded so many percentage points ninja for my shave and I prided myself on achieving 90% for the week. Suddenly, the upgrade has retrospectively made all my shaves, present and past, 100% which would be nice if it was accurate. It isn't. The clean button to start the cleaning process has disappeared and I spend time every morning to find a way to measure the cleaning process. This retrograde update has ruined my morning. I may have to move to another manufacturer.

A bit flimsy
I bought this razor to replace a Philips razor I have used since 2007. Overall it seems to be a fairly good device. What do I like about it? It does deliver a pretty close shave. So it succeeds in its primary purpose. I also like the hard case I travel frequently so this is a plus. But the charger is not accommodated and it's a bulky compared to the mains lead on my old razor. What I don't like. I have to say the build quality is a bit flimsy, I'm not sure it will go the distance. According to the app the blades are already 10% worn, my last razor was still delivering a close shave after 18 years on the original cutters. So I have reservations regarding durability and endurance.

Excellent shaver
Gives a really close shave. The three heads definitely improve the quality of the share and have allowed me to reach difficult areas my other shaver missed. Add to that my wife even noticed the difference

Great shaver
Very easy to use. Gives a good, clean smooth shave without irritating the skin.

Good shave
Firstly, I am happy with the quality of the shave I get. However, the app is a puzzle to me and I don't find it very useful. for example- if the blades are self sharpening, why does my razor now indicate a 74% remaining level after just 13 shaves. That really makes me wonder as to the longevity of the razor.
