Its okay i bought it because my old one from another brand just needed changing after having it for few years so I bought this one. I have only used it once. Seems like its a lot more fiddly than just putting it in your ear and it telling your temperature but the battery will last longer.

Hi! The Braun's blood pressure measurement devices are the only ones with the feature to share results on other devices. Unfortunately, the Braun IRT3030 ThermoScan 3 and the other thermometers of ours don't have this capability at the moment.

If this feature is a must for you, consider the ThermoScan 7+, which has a flashlight to help you guide the probe at night in addition to a silent mode. We hope we were helpful. Yes, the disposable probe covers used with the Braun LF40 Hygiene Caps for ThermoScan Ear Thermometer ensure hygienic use without having to clean or disinfect the sensor and virtually eliminate cross contamination. What's more, fitting a new Braun probe cover each time ensures that dirt or ear wax do not build up and clog the sensor window, which could lead to inaccurate temperature readings.

To change it from F to C, Make sure the thermometer is turned off. Press and hold down the <> button. Keep holding down the <> button and after about 3 seconds the display will start to cycle between temperature scales (°C or °F).
Release the start button when the desired scale is shown. This will reset the thermometer to the new temperature scale.

The batteries are 3v type 2032 and look as if they can be replaced easily. I have had the thermometer for 6 months, in permanent use and haven't needed to change them yet.
