No it doesnt. It seems to operate on one temperature, also according to a lot of the reviews. This should be explained on the box and in the description. Im not prepared to take the risk of scorching lighter fabrics so I took it back.

“ We actually recommend using tap water for all of our irons so it can be used with tap water yes. Please be advised we suggest using half tap, half distilled water at least if the customer is in a hard water area. ”

The water inlet cover of the Russell Hobbs Easy Store Pro Wrap & Clip Steam Iron 26730 opens downwards, so hold the two sides where the tabs are and pull down towards you.

Nothing to say that it cuts off in the instructions in the box.
I have not noticed any cooling off within 10 minutes of not touching it.
So how does Argos think it works ? Perhaps someone can explain please.
Or maybe change the sales description ?
