About this product
The HP Smart Tank 5105 is a cartridge-free all-in-one printer designed for families and home workers who print high volumes and want to stop worrying about ink. It includes up to 3 years of ink, enough for 6,000 pages, and uses spill-free refillable bottles instead of cartridges, lowering running costs and interruptions. You get printing, scanning and copying in one compact machine, printing at 12ppm black and 5ppm colour, ideal for everyday documents, school projects, and business records.
The 100-sheet paper tray is practical for regular use, and wireless connectivity lets you print from your laptop, smartphone or tablet using the HP Smart app or Apple AirPrint without cables. It handles paper up to A4 and prints up to 300gsm, so you can print photos on photo paper as well as documents, with borderless printing for edge-to-edge images. The flatbed scanner offers 1200x1200dpi optical resolution for clear scans and copies, and manual duplex printing reduces paper use. It's a solid, manageable machine with a 3cm display for navigation, and setup is easy with Windows and Mac.

New printer that works well
This printer was set up by my son as I am not IT capable, but it has proved straightforward to use and I am very pleased with the system, its print quality and looks as though the ink will stay useable for longer than the cartridges. It looks tidy too.

Bulky printer and poorer print quality than my older instant ink deskjet
Have had this printer a couple of months. It's bulky but connected to wi fi instantly Nd maintains a strong connection. The colours are not as strong when printing compared with my older instant ink deskjet which is a bit disappointing. Luckily I do not do a lot of printing.

Amazing printer
Very happy with the printer great quality overall. It's a bargain for the money. Cost effective ink related, print speed fast enough considering is not an laser model, super easy refilling the tanks and no issues connecting it to a device.

Great value, great print quality.
Bought this printer after lots of trouble with a cartridge printer and fed up of buying cartridges. This printer has plenty of ink and research shows refills will be better value than cartridges. Set up was mostly straightforward but took a little time due to downloading drivers to my PC but the step by step set up of the printer is clear. Print quality seems good. I've printed standard documents and a school photo on glossy paper that is equal in quality to last year's school photo that was printed at a photo print shop. The WiFi printing works well and with the android HP app can print from my phone and tablet as well as the PC. So far I'm impressed.

Print speed is a bit slow and can only do 5 copies at a time and not double sided.

Only just got this so not tried it much, but really easy to setup.Took about 30 minutes with the hp app. Love the fact that you get plenty of ink to start off. The Printer also has replaceble heads which was one of the bugbears of my last printer. Everything seems good so far.

This does not support an Ethernet cable.
It is designed to work with Wi-Fi networks, including Wi-Fi Direct and Bluetooth, for wireless printing. If you need a wired connection, you will need to use a USB cable to connect the printer to your laptop or computer.
