About this product
Use your cat's existing microchip as an electronic door key and keep intruder animals out. Consisting of a white internal frame and an grey exterior frame and tunnel, the microchip cat flap will ideally complement doors that have a grey exterior and a white internal finish. Battery powered (4xAA not included), works with all microchips, stores up to 32 cats and no collar is required. Drop-in replacement for most cat flaps. Mounting adaptor required for glass installations. Flap size (mm) 142 w x 120 h. Selective entry, any cat can exit.

Easy to install . We programmed the cat in first by putting a few treats in the tunnel part Worked first time . She has yet to use it herself Will only go thru if we hold the flap up . But hope she will feel comfortable with it soon.

Drafty cat mate flap.
Bought this as an exact replacement for our 5 year old cat mate chip cat flap. The only reason for swopping is that we are getting a new different coloured door soon. The reason for only 3 stars is that this new cat flap lets in more draft around the top hinges than the 5 year old one. How do i know? Because it only takes 15 mina to swop them over and it was much worse!! As for argos, that was all v quick and great.

Worth it
Bought one then another 2. Good quality and price made them worthwhile. My cat is 12 years old and just needs reminding every now and again. They can get in the house and out whenever they want. This has taken a lot of pressure off of me worrying where the cat is if I'm out for any length of time

Easy to install
We bought these cat flaps to actually use for our indoor cats and to keep them away from each other's food. We installed them into wooden cabinets and the fitting instructions were really easy to follow. Instead of drilling pilot holes and using a jigsaw, we opted to use an oscillator to make the required hole for the flaps. We had to slowly introduce the cats to using the flaps, and our more skittish cat still does jump a little when the flap clicks, but positive reinforcement of knowing there's food the other side has definitely helped her overcome the fear of the noise!

There is a small light on the front that flashes when the batterys start to get low.

I can advise that if the batteries die, it cannot check the microchip. So your cat will be able to go out, but not back in until the batteries are replaced.
