About this product
Neighbourhood cats wandering into your home for food raids or territorial disputes creates stress for everyone. This Sureflap microchip cat flap uses your cat's existing microchip as an electronic door key to keep intruder animals out. Suitable for cats up to 6kg with a maximum shoulder width of 14.2cm, the selective entry system stores up to 32 cats and requires no collar. The white internal frame and grey exterior tunnel suits doors with matching finishes.
Microchip recognition blocks unwanted visitors while allowing any cat to exit freely, which helps anxious cats feel secure in their own space. The 4-way lock switches between inout, opened or locked to control access during different times. Battery powered with 4xAA batteries, it fits into glass, wood and most PVC doors or windows with the right mounting adaptor. The flap opening measures 142mm wide by 120mm high to accommodate small, medium and large cats comfortably.

Superb!
I bought this for the loveliest cat in the world who was being terrorised by the local bully cat. It’s been brilliant! He’s can’t let himself in and she can come and go as she pleases. It was a very straightforward replacement for the existing cat flap and I love the fact she is safe indoors now. It was easy to pair and I’m relieved that we will get a warning when the battery power runs low.

Microchip catflap keeps neighbours’ cats out!
Easy to install and set up microchip catflap which has an opening width of 14.5cm wide and 13cm height. Slightly smaller than our previous catflap but our 7.5kg Ragdoll just about manages to get himself in and out

I bought this as a direct replacement for the previous Microchip Cat Flap, which had started to malfunction after more than a decade of use. This one was a newer model, so hopefully will last a long time, with replacement door flaps now available, instead of having to replace the whole thing. Fitted into place with no problems, and easy to program (provided you have cat treats handy to make the cat hold still for a few seconds).

We had this brand in a previous door which suited both cats. To make it clear we renewed our doors a couple of years ago and were reluctant to put a flap in as its a composite door. I checked door compatibility and found it could be used. Both cats are chipped so the flap is secure from other cats trying to get in. It's very easy to set up and easy to install. The cats were both using it within minutes of the installation - the elder is used to cat flaps, the kitten had never used one before. I would definitely recommend

Mine was fitted yesterday and looks great but it's not about the aesthetics, I want the cat to be able to get in and out when she wants. I hope she'll get used to using it. I needed a new bottom window pane but once that was in place with the hole pre-cut, the glazier fitted the unit in no time. It was on offer with Argos so very happy overall

For glass installation, the cut-out needs to be a circular hole 212 mm in diameter.
The centre of that hole should be set your cat's tummy-to-floor height + 56 mm.
It also needs to be at least 200 mm from the bottom of the window frame to allow room for the mounting adaptor.

Please note that many composite doors contain internal metal reinforcement (such as steel or aluminium plates). If metal is present in the area being cut, the “metal door” installation instructions provided in the cat flap manual must be followed.''
