Great investment
Really impressed with its cleaning power and how little drying time was needed. Also so pleased that all the packaging was paper rather than plastic.

Worth purchasing
I am so pleased with this product, light and easy to use and even though I hoovered before using this pulled out a lot of dog hair and grit I didn’t know was there. Dried quickly after use. The only thing that could improve would be how often the waste water needs to be emptied.

Excellent carpet cleaner
The extraction of the dirt that was there on my old carpet is so much better than I expected. The suction is very powerful and I didn’t have to wait too long for my carpet to dry! (Around 2 days for it to fully dry in mid September). It even has a dry only mode that extracts leftover water in the carpet. Definitely recommend!

Hello Sue,
Shark CarpetXpert Upright Carpet Cleaner:
Yes, it's designed to clean carpets with ground-in dirt and grime, so it isn't limited to new stains.
Thanks for using Q&A
Yes, the Shark CarpetXpert Deep Carpet Cleaner (EX150UK) can be used to clean stairs. It includes a hose and cleaning tools that are designed to help clean carpeted stairs, upholstery, and other hard-to-reach areas, allowing you to tackle spots that the main floor head cannot easily reach.
The Shark CarpetXpert is designed for use on carpets only, and should not be used on hard floors or wool surfaces, as this may cause damage. Always use it on suitable carpeted areas for the best cleaning results.
The Shark CarpetXpert is designed to extract excess liquid from carpets after cleaning, helping to reduce drying time. For best results, use the ‘Dry Only’ mode after cleaning and go over the area several times. Dry time can vary depending on carpet type and room conditions, but using fans or AC can help speed things up.
No, the Shark CarpetXpert cannot be used as a traditional vacuum cleaner. This unit is specifically designed and intended only for carpet cleaning purposes.
Yes, you can use the Shark CarpetXpert without the hose for regular carpet cleaning, as it will still provide full suction and deep clean using the brush roll. The hose is mainly needed when using hand tools for spot cleaning and smaller areas.
Please check manufacturer’s tag prior to cleaning area rugs for any specific cleaning guidelines. We do not recommend deep cleaning delicate rugs (including cotton, wool, silk, antique, natrual hide or leather, or area rugs that do not have a manufacturer’s tag).
This appliance can be used for light dry cleaning purposes. We recommend always checking the nozzle and hose for any sort of clogs if you notice a drop in performance.
Yes, since it is designed for homes with pets. Built to handle pet hair, the anti-clumping, anti-clogging, and anti-tangle technology sends hair directly to the dirty water tank, instead of clogging the machine, tangling your tools, or leaving clumps of wet hair behind.
