Powerful suction and excellent pet hair removal praised. Large capacity and easy filter cleaning appreciated. However, many find it heavy and bulky, with some durability and cable issues noted.

Brilliant vacuum for long-haired households
This is my 3rd Shark vacuum and is another fab purchase. Good wide head so you get lots of coverage for sucking up dirt, lights (which I find indispensable now) and really easy to clean. The dust collector has huge capacity and is super easy to empty and the head is very easy to clean as well. The anti-wrap technology works brilliantly and in a house with two family members with really long hair and a long haired collie dog who moults permanently, this is vital as there is constantly hair to be dispensed of. I loved my previous Shark, but this one is even better. It has the larger head I mentioned, has bigger storage, the cable has switched sides and it feels like the suction might be even greater. I didn't realise Shark could improve on what I already felt was a great vacuum. Not too heavy, manouverable and not too noisy. One thing that it does miss out on to it's predecessor is that the head is slightly bigger in height, so it doesn't fit as neatly or easily (or in some cases at all) under radiators and cabinets. BUT, I can still just use the pipe in these instances. Which is another great thing, I love that Shark vacuums can be configured in different ways. Really handy. Absolutely recommend.

Still great but cheap plastic makes it feel cheap
Been using for a month or so. Ive found it much heavier than all previous vacuums, probably because it the xl. I have owned 5 previously. I find the build materials quality to have lowered, the plastic just feels cheap and not the quality id expect from shark. It feels clunkier, less smooth, to use than all previous machines. Less variability in suction, only 3 options. No control over beater bar except as one of the 3 available settings. It has great suction and the powdered lift away is great. Very useful. I haven't noticed the anti hair wrap benefits as yet so can't comment on that, but im hopeful that the rubber blades on the roller are better than brushes that catch all the hair. Dour cartridge ‐ It's a subtle odour release but don't think ill pay for refils once its done. Ill go back to my essential oils in the filter.

Best yet
I’ve used this several times now as have two hairy dogs, a moulting cat, two indoor-dwelling Guinea pigs and live in the countryside. All of which seems to make endless dust. It is probably the most efficient vacuum cleaner I have owned. The large collection hub can contain a lot of dirt meaning it doesn’t have to be emptied so often but is easy to do so when necessary. The foam filter is also easy to remove and wash - I ordered extra so that I can always have a clean one to swap. It has a swivel head so can be easily moved around furniture and the cartridge supplied means that there is a pleasant smell when using. It is quite a heavy cleaner but I knew that when I bought it and decided to get it anyway due to its capacity and suction but its performance makes up for its weight.

Cleans well
Cleans really well. Great not having to clear the brushes of hair after every use. Easy to use and I like that there is a place to put a couple of attachments so they are always at hand. Only downsides are it is heavy and the larger head won’t fit in small places but the smaller head can be used instead. Changing heads is very simple.

Heavy
It's extremely heavy, almost 10kg. So unfortunately I can't hold it and I have to use my old Hoover.

I’ve got the power
Best hoover I’ve ever purchased, so powerful. I went back to a wired hoover for the power, I can’t believe how poor my chargeable one was after seeing how much this picked up after I hoovered with the old one. It’s a bit on the heavy side but I’m working out whilst cleaning so win win

Sturmbanfuher Sucky - Sucking beast
An absolute beast. My last vac was a Miele, so not cheap. I'd given up on hoovering because the Miele never seemed to pick anything up. I'm a bloke living alone in an 8 bed house with 2 cats and a dog. So hoovering is not something I relish and I was glad my old vac gave me the excuse not to bother - nothing came up. Then I got this MAAA-SHEEN! I've only done half the house, but Sturmbanfuher Sucky has already filled a dustbin with gunk I thought wasn't even there....
