A powerful and effective cleaner
A powerful and effective upright cleaner which gave me great results from my first proper clean in a good few years, on all of my carpets. The resulting visible dirty water in the clear tank, gave a great 'Dirt Scourge 2000' impression! On the 'quick clean' setting, everything was indeed suitable for walking on, less than an hour afterwards. The wand brush is a little less powerful (for stairs and furniture etc) but still produced clean results... even though the carpet was left a little more damp. The main drawback seems to be the price of the cleaning solution, which does make me wonder if this is a 'cheap printer but extortionate ink prices' deal. Lastly, taking it apart to clean the machine itself afterwards seemed a little bit cumbersome.

Looking forward to using my new Vax
I have had this for less than a week so haven’t used it yet. However, I can say that it was delivered on time and was a fantastic offer price. I had a strong recommendation from a friend who has owned one for a while and is delighted with it. I’ve read the instruction booklet and it appears straightforward to use.

Debris removal,!
The overall performance is very good and does a brilliant job on the cleaning of carpets and sofa. The cleaning of the machine is a nightmare. There was debris still stuck and impossible to get out. You have to unscrew the cover underneath, and still not able to reach the debris, however you try. I have only used this twice. I had upgraded my previous machine which I had only had 6 months. That was so much easier to clean the debris. Really disappointed. Please rethink the ease of cleaning out this model.

Pet hair removal.
Really unhappy with trying to remove the cover to clear the pet hair. Please. There has got to be an easier way than having to unscrew it everytime. I upgraded my previous Vax shampooer to this pet pro. The cleaning of the carpets and sofa, was brilliant. Great. Easier to use and lighter. But cleaning the debris is very very difficult and impossible!! Please rethink this .

A good investment.
We purchased this instead of renting a carpet cleaner, when our daughter's house needed cleaning after building work - as it gave us the flexibility to clean rooms when it suited us, rather than rushing to get everywhere cleaned within the rental period ! It has proven - as claimed - to be at least as good as a rental and is reassuringly heavy and solidly built. It is also very simple and logical to operate.... and we now have it available to use whenever we need it in future

I bought this a couple of weeks ago. I tried it out for the first time yesterday. I struggled to secure the handle to the unit because the lock was very very stiff. Also attaching the clean water tank was fidley. The machine is very heavy, therefore difficult to manoeuver in small spaces. It was relatively easy to operate and empty. I cleaned one bedroom which took me about 45 mins. I couldn't believe the colour of the water in the dirty water tank. I think the time taken will reduce now that I am familiar with the machine. I haven't been able to attach the hose because the fitting is very tight and I didn't have enough strength. I will ask a family member to help with this. Overall I am happy with the performance of the machine. The carpet

Does an excellent job,carpets look so much better.Only critism when pet hair and there was a lit,becomes trapped in the nose and roller area hard to poke out and don't want to dismantle the market hine 3 or 4 times to unblock it.Hopefully dog hair will now diminish since there was so much trapped in the carpets.But I do have dogs to stay so not suprising

VAX Platinum Power Max Pet Design amazing
I bought this carpet cleaner a week ago, it came with a broken hose connection cover, I contacted Vax and a replacement machine was sent in a couple of days. The machine is amazing, my rugs are like new and with 2 dogs they can get very dirty. would recommend this machine to everyone, really good suction and carpet/rugs left smelling clean and dry very quickly.

It's advised that you are to gather as much of the dog hair up via vacing or hand removal first, while it is a pet version, large quantities of hair will cause it to clog quickly.
