About this product
The Vax Platinum Power Max Pet-Design is built for homes where carpets take a beating from muddy paws, spills and everyday mess. It tackles ingrained stains and deep down dirt with an XL brush bar and 7 SpinScrub brushes that agitate right into the carpet fibres, lifting out the grime that vacuums leave behind. When used with Vax Platinum Antibacterial Solution, it kills up to 99% of odour-causing bacteria, leaving carpets genuinely fresh rather than just looking clean.
It holds 3.5l of clean water and 2.9l in the dirty tank, letting you cover a fair bit of ground before refilling or emptying. The 9m power cord and 2.5m hose give plenty of reach, and it works on carpets, rugs and upholstery. At 9.6kg, it's solid but manageable to move between rooms. You get a 2in1 antimicrobial tool, SpinScrub hand tool, pre-treatment wand, accessory bag, plus bottles of Platinum Solution and pre-treatment formula to start. It has a safety cut-out when the tank is full, edge-to-edge cleaning, and it sucks up spills as well as deep cleans.

Excellent Cleaner but……
Does a marvellous job but when it comes to cleaning the thing you have to practically dismantle it screw by screw. So if you’re not ok with a screw driver and unable to look on u-tube to view the complexities of dismantling I suggest you buy something a lot simpler. It is ridiculous so if you have no DIY skills I suggest you forget buying this product!!!

Great machine, easy to use, The right price
Purchased about 2 months ago during the sale. Very pleased with the results, left carpet clean and refreshed. A bit of a problem cleaning when finished, to remove the brushes the brush bar has have some screws removed to take it out for cleaning. The scrub rotating brushes have to be pulled from the machine ( not an easy job if your elderly )

Fantastic Results.
Only used our new Vax once but the difference it has made to our carpets is fantastic. Not only has it cleaned away some traffic marks but it has revitalised the pile all over. We haven't had to use the upholstery tool yet but we are confident it will be successful if needed. Our purchase also came with a free steamer. Excellent value thank you.

Not a fan
Been wanting one for ages, did loads of research and decided this was the one.. unfortunately I don’t like it at all! I just don’t think it’s as great as people make out but that’s just my opinion. It’s really heavy and the spray/extra spay is tough going to hold when you have a fair size carpet! You can’t clean it properly after either plus the cleaning solution provided absolutely stinks. Really wish I hadn’t wasted my money :-(

The supplier has advised the following for the Vax Platinum Power Max Pet-Design Carpet Cleaner:
The Vax Platinum Power Max has its own solution compartment on the clean water tank which will auto mix with the correct amount of water.
You can also manually mix the solution in the water compartment of the tank which is 40ml per 1litre of water.
They have advised not to do both or too much solution will be mixed with the machine.
